  1. No, ive used it for FPS games since september, started having problems at the end of march.
  2. gtx 1060, yes latest drivers. I tried older versions too.
  3. idk. 1070 gives tons more sheer power than the 1060 so..
  4. can it be a bad power outlet or some retardation?
  5. when i play overwatch or fortnite, my external 144hz monitor i use via hdmi (when im not using the monitor i get crashes but instead of the screen dying the game crashes) and when using the monitor, it sometimes crashes but usually flickers a little and then dies out, with game and sounds still running. Fix please cant even run any games. When i get into a fight it uses more power and the gpu sorta just dies and thats when it starts happening.
  6. its the gpu then. I get "rendering device has stopped working" for overwatch and for fortnite i get something along those lines too. But i dont know, because maybe its like the psu in my laptop or something and when its under load it isnt enough power or something so it stops using the power the gpu was using, thus shutting it down.
  7. basically when i get into a game, or i tab out and go back into game, or i switch sides on overwatch and it loads UI, my gpu/pc/game crashes.
  8. I told someone else above my specs. The model is a p55wv6 PC3D, and the specs are: gtx 1060 6gb ram, i7 6700hq 2.6, set to 2.5 to prevent turbo. 16gb ram
  9. Doesnt have to do with temps. It crashes instantly right when the game starts sometimes and its at 75C. I also reinstalled windows with the full reset. I dont know if this means anything but its usually whenever something happens on the screen, like in between rounds in overwatch, when i go into the 2nd round it crashes. Or in fortnite right when i leave pre game for the battle bus, like something is on thats making it run consistently at some settings and when its changed it doesnt like it.
  10. I mean it worked but it didnt fix my issue after reinstalling drivers.
  11. Sorry, you said tag you to make sure you get it so i assumed you had notifications disabled. I tried DDU, didnt work.
  12. its a laptop. Gigabyte p55wv6. No overclocking.
  13. its software related cuz it happened like once every 3 hours now its happening instantly when i start games. I reset my pc 3weeks ago and it happened instantly in games but when i stopped turbo boost it barely happened, but now i ran xtl and tried to undervolt and its like it got started again.
  14. so my games have been crashing was top 500 in overwatch now dropped to diamond from it lost tons of sr. I dont know what software to use to detect what the problem is. Could be some random cpu problem, or some retardation like a bad ssd or some crap. What tester is there?
  15. when a game loads new stuff i crash. Like when i go into the 2nd round of overwatch after hero select, or when the battle bus in fortnite launches.
  16. It was working the minute before i ran xtu. Im looking to just reset it not fix it completely im sending it back to fix it
  17. it crashes this much before but i stopped it from using turbo boost and it fixed it a lot but still crashed a little but wayyy less
  18. so my laptop was overheating and people told me to use XTU (intel extreme something something) to undervolt or something. All it did was make me crash more (i would crash maybe once per day now i crash instantly). I reset the settings and uninstalled the program and it still is happening how do i reset all cpu settings?
  19. yes but besides the statistics and other crap the actually human performance for a computer is faster than the 1060
  20. Yeah it came with a software called smartmanagerv3 but it got deleted and i dont know where to get it
  21. Can i fix this? If not i think ima call cs and see if they can guide me through cleaning it or something
  22. Yes but i was asking how can it be throttling if its 144fps either way?
