  1. so basically i have a laptop and i use earbuds, so i got a new monitor to use as my main (120hz), but when i plug it into the laptop audio jack, it doesnt work
  2. mine is already rather short, but yes i will try i new one. i fixed the extension issue.
  3. so i literally just finished the issue with the extension, i got it to work. but still having issues with 120hz
  4. so basically i bought the nixeus vue 24 for 2 reasons. 1. it was 144hz, but because i have a laptop with no display ports, i could only go to 120hz with hdmi (both the monitor and the laptop have hdmi 2.0). but it isnt picking up 120hz, when i go to adapter properties, and then list all modes, it doesnt go past 120hz, but i cant get 1080p and 120hz at the same time. and for 2, i bought it as a main monitor, and to use my laptop's monitor as a second. however, i cant set up dual monitors, when i set the mode to "extend", i cant drag my mouse to the second monitor (the new one), its locked at the first one, but i can still see the other monitor an to get a new cable to try and fix the 120hz thing, because im not sure this cable is 2.0.
  5. does having a higher hz refresh right lower fps? for instance if i get 500 fps with 60hz, will i get 400 with 120?
  6. gtx 1060 and i7 6700hq i have not tried that i will retry it now tho
  7. so basically i usually play without vsync, because minecraft still feels smoother with 500+ fps even on my 60 hz monitor. however, when i updated windows anything that isnt vsync was SUPER CHOPPY, i mean choppy like unplayable. even if i set my fps to 60, which is was vsync is, it was still super choppy. when i used vsync, it was like what it use to feel like before the windows update, so vsync hasnt changed. the game i tested is minecraft.
  8. i have played for a bit, any more than i have is kind of impossible, because its so incredibly laggy
  9. whjats happening is more like when i play a game, i play it in 30 hz, cause im not getting like 30 fps, but its more like the refresh rate is 30, only in game though
  10. http://prntscr.com/fxeky0 that is the results after playing for about 5 mins
  11. what do you mean run latency mon, there are about 100 different downloads.
  12. so basically its 120am and im gonna go to sleep, but i cant just shut off my pc, i have to update and shut down. so i dont really mind this, and i just shut it off and leave it. (this is a laptop). the next day i guess it shut off or somethin cause when i turned it off it was still updating, and then after than it was about 2 and a half hours before my pc was done updating. i was doing some school work for about 4 hours, and when i boot up my game, even though i get hundreads of fps it still feels incredibly choppy. restarting my pc again and no fix, online games like slither io work great, so please help
  13. for 1, i play minecraft, last night i played some ranked matches, totally normal, next day after a long update, still getting 500 fps, but feels like 30fps. for 2, what is performance mode? i did not "disable" this option that im aware of, so dont know what that is, however after the update it did reset my nvidia control panel settings. for 3, yes i have check everything is normal in that regard. and for 4, online games such as slither io or agar io work perfectly fine but downloaded games are choppy

  15. so I have a gaming laptop, but the screen is only 60hz. So I bought a nexeus vue24, and I was wondering if I could use the nexeus as my main, and the laptop as a side. Would I be able to, per say run a game on the nexeus , and then have a video, or discord open in the other tab without fps drops? In other words would i be able to do the same things just with 2 monitors without fps drops, or would simply having both monitors running make it lag behind? My laptop has a gtx 1060 and an i7 6700hq, the specific model is the gigabyte p55w v6
  16. im actually getting a 144hz monitor the nexeus vue 24, it just went back on sale. but thank you so much for your help
  17. you might be just getting ddosed
