  1. So the fact that the crucial is qlc and dramless is not something I should worry about?
  2. Hi all, I just got a new Legion 5i and I want to buy an additional SSD for it.. I'm struggling to decide which one of these is the best. The 4TB Crucial and the 2TB Samsung are about 200 euros in Italy. I like the idea of the bigger capacity but I'm worried about the less reliability of the Crucial. What do you say? I'm planning to use it as the main storage for my games and programs so it would have a substantial amount of read/writes.
  3. The issue was a bad hard drive. Replacing the disk fixes the issue and now it correctly detects the VDs every time.
  4. I've ordered them but I don't think that's the solution
  5. Isn't the raid config stored in a non-volatile memory? Does the raid config rely on a battery?
  6. Every time I start the server (R720) I need to import the raid configuration. Does someone know how to fix this? https://i.imgur.com/0AqSLeq.png Note: not every time, when I restart windows it correctly detects the virtual drives.. Seems like that when the server stays off without main power for a while it loses the raid memory. From my understanding the battery should not be the problem because it is used only to store the latest data cache and not to store the raid config. Sometimes this also happens: https://i.imgur.com/lIlTpnT.png and I have to reboot the system to be able to re-import the configuration Also, every time I have to import the configuration the background initialization starts from 0
  7. The fans are pluged into another board that sits near the mother board. After looking in internet I may have found that the I2C bus is a cable that runs from the motherboard to the fan backplane and to the hdd backplane. The connector to the motherboard is the same for both of them but some cables from the connector go to the fans and others to the hdd backplate.
  8. I'm asking because I've found one used on eBay for 40€. I've opened the entire server and checked every cable, everything is plugged correctly and I can't see any jumper. I really don't know what else can be.
  9. If the BIOS update does not fix can you tell if replacing the motherboard will fix this issue?
  10. Ok now its back Do I still try to follow your procedure?
  11. hahahaha btw since the IERR errors appears, the I2C4 erros are not showing. I will try your suggestions.. (will also try the last one)
  12. Yes, I've done that.. Also, now I get and I don't know why. The server reboots itself and I need press F2 (bios startup) to continue the boot
  13. I don't hink that the localview display is the problem because it worked fine before! Also the bios is getting this log messages: https://imgur.com/a/aAYSuHL
