After watching the cheap CCTV set up a few times i decided to install motioneye os on a ubuntu VM on my local server, with some ras pi zero W cameras. Which so far I've got working just fine, but now I need to make it girlfriend friendly, she has no interest in an IP address so I was trying to workout how i can just give her a URL she'll understand ie 'www.myaddress.local. I've got the idea from a company I used to work for that had there intranet address pointed to a '.local. URL. Thanks in advance with any advice given!

Evening all, I recently decided to just just stick a fresh install of windows on my pc to start a fresh. As I installed all my mothered board utility’s I had a pop up saying the application had stopped working, but this looked different to the standard windows crash message. I noticed at the bottom of the error message was a web address for www.drdump.com. This all looks very dodgy to me so would like to know more about it. I'm looking for suggestions for a good HDMI splitter that works well with HDPC. I'm trying to split the signal from my satellite box as i'm sharing the signal in my bedroom using HDMI to Cat 5. At the moment I have to unplug the HDMI lead from the back of my TV and into Cat 5 converter, but I want to tidy my cables out of sight. I did get a decent splittler but turns out it don't work with my Sony TV. Thanks in advance!!!
