  1. I'm looking for external microphones, can be clip on or ones with a stand, for around 10$ to 15$. I need them for gaming and video production that should have good noise cancellation and clarity. I'm not sure if mics with a port are better or ones with usb but any recommendations would help.
  2. I tried that, it detects it as a mic but there is no sound coming in from the mic.
  3. How about this one; https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Wi-Fi-Express-Adapter-PCE-AC56/dp/B00JNA337K/ Is it better for the price
  4. So I recently built a pc thinking I would have my modem moved close to my room to the point where I could run an ethernet cable... well that didn't happen. To set up windows and install drivers, I found a temporary "wifi usb thingy" from Realtek which would allow me to look for wifi networks and connect. I normally get 9 down and 5 up which is very annoying since I can get above 30 on my phone or macbook. I ended up using it for 2 months now and it's giving up on me. I'm not really sure what wifi cards and adapters are; If anyone could explain or suggest some good options, either wifi cards that attach to my motherboard or plain usb with adapter. (I have a MSI Gaming m3 motherboard btw) Be my google, I'm too lazy (:
  5. Any other option to control it right now? A friend of mine suggested to clock it at 4.0 ghz but I can't change it from auto in bios.
  6. I recently built a pc with an i7 7000k and a Dark Rock 3 190w TDP air cooler. I haven't been running games or demanding programs but the speed randomly rises above 4.2 ghz and temps are 50c at idle. The cooler is seated properly with enough thermal paste and I was wondering if I can "underclock" to lower the temps. I'm new to this and not sure how to control the clock speed. I've attached a screenshot from the BIOS of MSI Z270 M3 mobo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I tried different hubs, still the same thing. The disconnecting has stopped however, but the beeping sound from the speakers is still there every time I move my mouse.
  8. I was installing driver updates a while ago and restarting every few minutes when suddenly after one reboot, my Corsair Sabre stopped working. To fix it, I re-plugged the usb back in and it worked after a "windows disconnect sound". Now, every time I move my mouse, a weird beep comes out of my speakers. Have I done something wrong with the installation of the drivers? Currently installed: https://gyazo.com/c1cd093e9724067a6aa0e96c7330debb.png
  9. So I recently just built my brand new pc; it's working perfectly fine and I can load BIOS and everything. When I went to Microsofts website to download Windows 10, it wouldn't let me since all I have are Macs and hence I can't run the exe file needed to download the boot files. Originally, I thought I could have my friends download the files and upload to Drive or Dropbox, but I read online that it wouldn't work since the USB needs to be bootable itself I have an empty 32 gb USB but no way to get the boot files on it... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Alright thank you so much, I managed to get it to work
  11. no, I tried to guess and check them but let me try with them all in the middle
  12. Yes, I followed the steps and watched youtube tutorials but still nothing.
  13. So I was starting to build my pc but started having troubles installing the cooler. It's a Dark Rock 3 190W TDP cooler with a MSI Z270 Gaming M3 motherboard. The problem is the screws won't fit in with the backplate (see pictures). I have already applied thermal paste but it's not a mess... yet. I rotated the backplate twice, the screws just don't all line up. I tried moving them but still nothing. If 3 of them go in, 1 doesn't. The socket is LGA 1151 but it's not mentioned anywhere in the manual, but it should be compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. The case comes with two fans but the front fan is "blocked" by the front lid with only top gaps on top and bottom so I planning on mounting two extra fans on the top. Mainly autodesk, blender, and c4d for now. The 7700k is for the same price as 7600k on newegg lmao. That's the only reason. I think it's fine for now, schools starting soon and I just need a good rig with quality keyboard and mice for general use and gaming here and then Whew, that's alot of replies
