I don't think that it's your processor or anything that's slow, I think upgrading to an ssd might help. -
While Nvidia may feel like they are fixing the problem of Moore's law with Volta: they are essentially adding another processor. If it really was the solution to quantum tunneling, I feel like it probably would have been done by a team of physicists rather than a group of NvidiaCorp employees. What is your opinion on 'Gpu Extension'?

If the whol thing about nvidia getting -% of the profit, why can't we just buy them straight off nvidia, or even just nvidia supplying us with generic PCB's instead???

And also, ASIC cards, are they worth their insane price tags? And are AMD cards just more efficient than let's say, a gtx1080TI SLI config?

I recently bought a pair of 950 Strix's to resell with a minority profit during the holidays, but I am currently using a 1060 (6G), which is a very good alternative to an RX 580, without the crazy price.

Yes, but by the time the mining craze is over, won't the prices fall, due to new cards/ said card being older?
