  1. So basically I bought a new motherboard because all signs showed to the bios chip being damaged. I sent the new one to guarantee repair just in case. The other one is the same model and it broke suddenly while watching a youtube video. I'm guessing the first time might've been due to a power outage, but someone could've returned the second one due to the same problem, because I didn't see any stickers on the board that usually prevent you from opening it right away. If you have any suggestions, please reply right away so I can try it out that way. I bought a new motherboard (msi B250M PRO-VD) and got the ME FW f ound abnormal message. I want to update bios, but mflash and the bios itself doesnt recognize any usb at all. Edit: Problems: USB devices not working at all, HDD showing up as 0.0GB What I've tried so far: 1. I've tried out ALL usb ports in the front and on thr motherboard. No luck. 2. I've tried using a PS/2 keyboard. Works in bios, but I can't progress because I want to install windows and USB doesn't work. 3. I've tried to go to bios with one ram stick, everything else apart from the cpu removed. No luck. 4. Taking out the CMOS battery 5. Tried another power supply (it's from 2008 though so it might not work correctly.) Specs: CPU: Intel Pentium g4560 with stock cooler MOBO: MSI B250M PR O-VD GPU: ASUS GTX 1050 2GB HDD: 750gb (seagate?) RAM: 2x4GB Adata and Crucial
  2. I sent the board to guarantee repair just in case. But the weird thing is that the pc stopped working so suddenly while watching a video a month ago and I have a board exactly like that one with the same pronlem.
  3. I switched everything to use the other psu and everything was like it was before. I also took out the cord for gpu and swapped it to use onboard gpu but this time the ez debug led showed gpu not found and I got no display at all.
  4. The mobo has an 8pin connector for cpu. I just checked and tje psu has both the 4pin and rhe 8pin.
  5. The pins seem to be okay under the CPU
  6. I have a Corsair VS450. I could try another psu, but it has a different kind of adapter for the cpu. Maybe I can use both of them combined?

  9. https://arvutitark.ee/est/tootekataloog/Arvutikomponendid-Emaplaadid-LGA-1151-emaplaadid420 I have previously had problems wit asus h110m-k and my b250m pro-vd bios just corrupted.
  10. My pc randomly shut down and didnt boot up anymore for a month. I fixed most of the problems already, but now here's where I'm at: 1. I turn on the PC, some screen appears about ME FW needing to be re-flashed through M-Flash 2. USB ports don't work. I bought a PS/2 keyboard and that let me get to BIOS. (Even flash drives and keyboards don't work in BIOS) 3. I get to BIOS and see that my hdd shows up as 0.0GB. I tried multiple different hard drives and I know that they're not empty and all of them have a Win10 or Win8.1 64bit installation. I have previously had problems with one of the RAM sticks so I am guessing that's where the problem came in. When my PC crashed I was watching a YouTube video. Nothing highly resource intensive. My PC specs: Windows 8.1 (CSGO and GTA V had huge freezes on Win 10 even after disabling all the telemetry options and stuff) Intel Pentium G4560 ("Incompatible" with win 8.1 but runs much better on it) ASUS GTX 1050 8GB of RAM (2x4GB different sticks) 750GB HDD (or 250GB/250GB/80GB/ 1TB) MSI B250M PRO-VD motherboard Any help is appreciated and I would be happy if it could be fixed for free. Last resort is a new motherboard.
  11. Yeah well I can put windows on another boot drive but then I still have to flash the new bios somehow because it freezes ehenever I try to restart etc.
  12. Ok BIG update. I just got a PS/2 keyboard for 3eur and I got into the bios. Now the next problem is that I have to make it recognize USB to flash the new bios.
  13. I rechecked the leds and then was able to make all leds disappear. Now im at least back at the start. I wasnt able to even boot up for a time. Now its basically stuck at the insert boot device and press a key part. I just tried rebooting again without the cmos battery and it displayed an "all settings were reset to default values" screen. In the bottom part it said "Press F1 to Run SETUP". It recognizes the keyboard but it basically froze at this screen and does not let me go to setup or continue. I think I might have switched on some option that skips the bios splash screen for faster boot a few months ago but I tried adjusting th cables and ram again and it quickly flashed the bios splash screen. Nothing happened when I spammed Delete and F11 though. It eventually went back to the first screen. I currently have only the newer RAM stick inside, which I have had no errors with.
  14. Ok well I did some in-depth troubleshooting and noticed that the motherboard troubleshoot lights were blinking. After some digging online I found out that this combination could be from faulty RAM. Now I put both in, wiggled and adjusted some cables inside to make sure they weren't loose and turned it on and booted it up again. I found the cmos battery and put it back in and then turned the power supply back on and clicked the power button. This time the troubleshoot light was completely normal, but nothing shows up on the screen and the fans still spin quite quietly. Not even the error screen showed up this time.
  15. Im afraid we just threw one away a month ago.
