  1. So, I got a new battery and downloaded a new bios. The computer is starting when it doesn’t have a cmos battery when using the power switch pins but not when I have battery installed. Any idea?
  2. Okay so I replaced it and it worked one time, I booted into windows and shut it down to start to put the system back together and it wouldn’t boot again. Would this maybe mean it’s a faulty bios?
  3. Yes, now it worked like it should. Would that be mean a dead battery?
  4. No, nothing has changed. I can still boot by using the clear cmos pins but not by using the power switch pins
  5. By bridging the clear cmos pins on mobo
  6. So today my pc didn’t want to boot by using the normal power button on the case. So I disconnected the power button and tried to bridge the pins so it would post, but still nothing. When I try to do a clear cmos it all of a sudden posts like it should. Any ideas what could be going on here? motherboard: Asus strix z390-f (sorry for bad English, not my first language)
  7. Hi, I have recently ordered a new motherboard and cpu and this is my my first time upgrading to a newer intel platform. I built my first gaming rig 3 years ago so I’m just wondering if I need to do anything in the software side of things (uninstall old chipset drivers etc.) I did a fresh install of windows about 2 moths ago, is it recommended to do a fresh install?
