  1. Basically the topic Computer works fine - until it doesn't. Generally when playing a game. New or old doesn't matter; Games that used to work fine on the same specs now have crazy sound stuttering. I found out the culprit is: "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" in Task Manager. Everything works fine until "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" pops up. Disabling it in Task Manager instantly removes all stutter. And just that. The problem is that it starts itself up again after (short) while. I can literally hear and feel it popping up. I have windows 10 2004 i5 2500K
  2. I checked my bios It says SATA_3 Samsung 850 EVO (which is my boot disk) SATA_3 Corsair (the one I want to replace) SATA_2 Samsung (my HDD) It seems the Corsair, that I want to replace, is hooked up to the SATA 3 connector.
  3. My pc (i5 2500K / Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 / XFX Pro 650W / 8 GB RAM / RX580 8GB) Has a storage shortage. Can I just pull out my old SSD card and put in a new? Currently I have 3 hard disk. The 60GB SSD I want to replace by a 1TB one, a 256GB SSD which has Windows 10 installed and a 1TB HDD. The 60GB SSD says however it's an Corsair Force 3 SSD ATA Device Does that mean I can't install a SATA drive? My motherboard should support SATA III however. I was thinking of getting either a "Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD"
  4. My headset has a TRSS jack (4 segments, like my little handfree kit that came with my smartphone and unlike my regular speakers with 3 segments (I suppose that's why it works on my smartphone (xperia, not sure if that matters) and ps4?)
  5. So I bought a BigBen headset. Which said on the box compatible with both ps4, pc, mac and android devices. Since I use a ps4, pc and watch netflix on my smartphone this looked good. The sound works, it works just fine. But not the mic on pc. Haven't tested on android phone I only has 1 3.5 jack output for sound, so that works fine, but it doesn't have a jack for microfoon, so on PC the microphone doesn't work. (it works fine on PS4) Can I solve this with a 3.5 jack splitter as seen in the picture? one jack comes in, two jacks come out? Like this one: Jack Adapter, 4 pins, 3.5mm jack socket naar 2 x 3.5mm jack plug (I have a USB external soundcard (onboard is broken). I now plug in my loudspeakers via 3.5mm jack, and if I want to use a mic I plug in a separate standalone 3.5 jack mic. So I have to use two things. Kinda annoying) This is wat I have now: Something like this? (example) I've also seen something similiar but with USB Built in soundcard.. So I can bypass my current soundcard? (EXAMPLE: MillSO 3.5mm to USB jack audio adapter ideal to connect a TRRS 4-pole CTIA 3.5mm headset, TRRS mic or speaker to PC via USB interface. One combo interface support stereo sound listening + speaking, dual functions. Easily add a 3.5mm TRRS aux port for your devices, or use it as a replacement for a failed USB sound card audio adapter) How can I use my headset my mic, which both work on ps4 & android, but not with pc on pc (fully incuding the mic) Purpose: Online gaming, talk to buddies on Discord
  6. As far as I know I can't upgrade to DDR4 ram (Motherboard is AsRock Z68 Extreme4 - - Dual Channel DDR3 memory technology- 4 x DDR3 DIMM slots- Supports DDR3 2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory- Max. capacity of system memory: 32GB* I reality I can only use 3 slots, because I have a huge CPU cooler to keep my i5 2500K cool And using 3x8 DDR3 is bad? 2 x 16DDR3 seems overkill? (Does that even exist?) Local store sells "2x Kingston ValueRAM 8GB DDR3 DIMM 1600 MHz (2x 1x8GB)" voor €99 Most important will 16 GB improve the following pc worth worth a €100 i5 2500k 2x4GB RAM (Kingston 9905403 - 038. A00LF 1333Mhz. 1.5V (bought them in 2011) AsRock Z68 Extreme4 RX580 8GB (yeah, it's a bottleneck, but my old broke) 2 SSD HD 1 HD XFX PRO650W Or should I just wait and save to get a new Mobo, case and 2x8 DDR4? I think my GPU, SSD & power supply are still fine?
  7. What I have (bought this PC in 2011 to play Battlefield 3 and, don't laugh, Star Citizen. I was a huge Wing Commander fan) I know people hate Battlefield V but my current rig doesn't run it at 50 FPS max :( (overclocking got it to 60FPS on 5vs5 maps, which EA now cancelled) Most games still run fine, I play Division 2 without problem and was surprised how well Forza Horizon 4 & DMC 5 ran & looked (Unlike Resident 7, even though it's also a Capcom game, even Resident Evil 2 ran smoother) Some are unplayable though. Wolfenstein 2 and Quantum Break didn't run properly at all. CPU: i5 2500K @4.5 + custom cooler MOBO: AsRock Z68 Extreme4 G3 8GB RAM (not sure which kind, but it's from 2011) PSU: XFX Core 650W Samsung SSD 850 EVO 256 (just use it for my OS) Samsung HD 1TB RX580 8GB Question: Can I just replace my MOBO & CPU? And with what so I can play modern games smoothly @1080p, high settings and stable FPS for the next 4 years or so (No VR, No Streaming) I've been curious about AMD CPU's I'm on a budget so I was thinking of getting an Ryzen 5 2600 and a MSI B450 GAMING PLUS, socket AM4 moederbord and 2x8GB DDR4 RAM Can I just get that and fit it in my existing PC? Replace MOBO, CPU & RAM? My 650W PSU should still power it enough?
  8. Specs i5 2500K 2x4GB RAM (1333) RX580 8GB 250 SSD HD 1TB HD Is upgrading worth it? I don't want to change my motherboard. Otherwise it is getting to expensive As far as I know I7 3770 is the best CPU for Socket 1155 However they don't make them anymore and the prices they asking are criminal. Over 200, even 300 for a CPU that's almost a decade old? That's too much However I want to play BF5 at at least 60 FPS (@ 1080p) and now I can only run it at about 45FPS. CPU Is clearly the bottleneck Should I upgrade or overclock? I can overclock to maybe 4.0GHz
  9. Looking for FIFA 19 to start a league and/or cup. Depending on how much players want to sign up Leave your PSN here (or via PM) and I'll contact you
  10. Chrome browser is hijack by some trollish hijacker. After I search it redirects to Bing Tried Bitdefender & Malwarebytes to no avail.
  11. Me and some friends have a group, looking for some extra players. Relatively casual play. Mic is always handy. UK / Western Europe plz for timezone & lag issues. Just join "Dead Friends" clan ingame;
  12. HD 6870, well it's good enough to get by for the coming week
  13. Yeah I know, but I had a car crash so priorities I already installed the AMD Drivers. A friend loaned my his old ATI card until I get a new one. Not sure which one it is, but I runs Battlefield 4 fine, so it's not that bad. (I returned to BF4 after getting bored with BFV)
  14. yeah, it does but I wasn't sure that would work My 970 is bricked, so I need a new one. Checked some benchmarks and it scores a bit better. It's cheaper than a GTX1060 + here in the shops you get 2 games for free including Division 2 which I was already going to get. So it's a good deal for me. (Other game is either DMC 5 or RE2) I assume my i5 2500K is going to bottleneck anyway. But I can still run games like Division 2 a medium @ 1080p
  15. System: i5 2500K 8GB RAM old GPU,was GTX970 4GB (worked fine for 5 years) Now I want to get a MSI RX580 8GB Will it work? with 650W? What if the "pins" don't match up? GTX970 had 6 pin connector, RX580 8pin
  16. That it did. The Belgium site wasn't just more expensive, they didn't support the free games (which makes it extra cheap in a way since I was going to get Division 2 anyway. DMC also seems nice; Already have RE2 though, but I picked the RX80 so it was two games rather than three anyway)
  17. Thanks. I check out Alternate, they also have Belgian & Dutch site (The Dutch being quite cheaper than the Belgian one lol)
  18. My German isn't perfect But on Mindfactory I noticed : 8GB MSI Radeon RX 580 Armor 8G OC Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail) for nur €209 That's for the RX 580 though. The price I found on Bol.com for "MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC" was €256 The €200 one was for the RX570 Are those the same cards though? The title is a bit different? (Sorry for my noob questions :p) + on that German site you get 2 games free include DIvision 2 and Resident Evil 2. Which I was going to get anyway And if you get the RX590 (8GB ASRock Phantom Gaming X Radeon RX 590 8G OC) You get drei spiele free? Probably to much for my system? But will an RX590 work? Those games are worth the extra cost as I was already going them anyway. Is it all three or can you pick just one? (I mean I could cancel my Division 2 pre-order and instead of 239, it would be 179) Please correct me if I understood the German language wrong
  19. I live in Belgium. So got any tips for German stores? I assume Germans ones will work just fine in Belgium
  20. MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC is only €200 even Paired with a i2500 (and playing games at 1080p ofc) will it make much difference? (Because bottleneck?)
  21. Some local stores: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6G: €285 MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB (2slots): €303 MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming 6GB: €299 Asus GeForce Dual GTX 1060 O6G (2slots): €335 EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 (2slots): €315 Don't really understand the difference between those two MSI cards... Description says 2 slots and 1x8 pins for the X version, but is that better? (It's pretty much same price) The RX 580 are indeed about €20-30 cheaper
  22. So I need a new GPU. My GTX970 already bottlenecked my GTX970, but gotta have a new regardless. I was thinking of getting an GTX 1060 6GB. I don't getting the 3GB version seems like a downgrade and the 1050 2gb even more so, since a lot of game use more than 2 or even 3 gb vram? Getting a new CPU is not an option because don't have the budget to replace half my computer and I don't know what signicfinaly better CPU (for gaming) I can get for my MB. i7 2600 probably won't make much difference? And you can't really buy those anymore for fair prices I guess (PS I live in Belgium, so US stores and price I can't really do something with)
  23. So my old rig is finally starting to show it's age, and I've been looking around for a new one but I guess I only really need a new mobo and cpu (and maybe ram) at this point. I don't need ultra settings and I'm 1080p but not with 30 FPS This is what I currently have: i5 2500K ASRock Z68 8 GM RAM GTX 970 Would "just" replacing my CPU (+MOBO) be enough? I don't need 4K as I don't plan on getting a 4K monitor any time soon and I'm not getting into VR. I just want to play Battlefield V at 60 FPS because I'm only getting around 45. (I already overclocked my CPU)
