I would recommend WD over Seagate, in the end my business has had to RMA almost 35% of all Seagate Drives versus 6% of our WD Drives. For SSD's I always tell people to buy Crucial or WD due to usually costing less then Samsung, however if you have the money go for the Samsung.

I have the MX300 M.2 1 TB x 2 in my Asus Prime Z270-A. My windows 10 loads in about 7-10 seconds, my games have great load times and it responds lightning quick. I have had these since the launch of the Z270-A and they perform flawless. The M.2 never gets over 26c, this is without the M.2 cooler. I would say with confidence that the Samsung may be more powerful, however I don't feel like I need anything more powerful then the MX300 currently.
