  1. Cable management is a pain.... I should have planned it out better and kept it neater if I could.
  2. http://www.3dmark.com/spy/2021400My previous PC was a prebuilt that I upgraded over the years with some help but it had always struggled to run modern games at 60fps or even begin to take advantage of my 144hz G-sync monitor so after getting a new job and saving up money for ages I decided to take the dive and attempt to build my own new PC. I consulted these forums for some help in selecting the parts, and here is what I came up with: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/TheStuffDanDoes/saved/yVmwP6 It may have taken me almost 2 days and at least 6 different panic attacks but the build is finally complete! Take a look at this album to see the build progress and some comments: http://imgur.com/gallery/vgPoc The first benchmarks are in too: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/2021400 I am yet to overclock the system because I am being cautious of temperatures due to the small form factor and limited cooling, but at the moment everything seems to be running smoothly. Building that system was probably one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Working with £1400 worth of hardware that I'd saved up for like a year to buy is rather nerve-racking when it's your first time building and everything feels like it's going wrong. It wasn't a pleasant experience building and there's still some kinks that need ironing out, it's definitely not a perfect system. But I'm glad it's working now
  3. Hence the Corsair - H100i v2? Or do you not think that would be enough. My current PC is not that much larger than the Fractal Design - Define Nano S Mini ITX and I only have a Hyper 212 Evo in it with a overclocked cpu and I've never had a problem here in the UK where it's hot like 3 times a year haha.
  4. I have Amazon prime and have had good experiences with their refunds system before so am willing to pay a couple extra quid here and there for the convenience. But if there's a great offer elsewhere reputable than sure I guess
  5. The budget for the build is £1300 and it will be used for both heavy gaming and work in game engines. The idea behind having a Mini ITX form factor is simply convenience and lack of space as I'll be moving accommodation yearly and have no idea how much space will be available to me (and the occasional LAN of course). I want to start building as soon as possible as now I've finished exams and want to get to ha Here is a very rough and early draft up of what I'm thinking of buying, but I'm open to suggestions and would love to get some discussions going. In all honestly I'm a little out of touch as it's been a good few years since I've upgraded my PC. Pease note that I will be throwing in an 250GB SSD too, but seeing as I already purchased it I haven't listed it in the price. Also, ideally I'd like to get all of the parts from Amazon UK where possible.
