Hy everyone, I was interested in buying a laptop ( Chuwi LapBook Air ) and it supports a Sata M.2 memory, m.2 2242. Question is, and please stay serious - because online you find both measurements and no comparison between the slots - could you put a 2240 in a 2242 slot? Or it will be a little bit loose. Theoretically, 2mm shouldn't be much, but in practical, same as with cases ( micro and mini ATX ) and graphic cards, every mm matters. So, possible or not? Mountings a 2240 ssd in a 2242 slot?

Yes, thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3, as in using the accessories normally compatible with a MacBook ( pro ) 2017, with a mac-mini. I'm aware of the speed limit and everything but I was wondering because all the vids and articles are on about tb2 peripherals being used on a tb3 device, not the other way around. I'm curious how this would work considering the differences between the two of them.
