  1. Thanks xtoria, I'll look into those
  2. I'll be using them for everything inlcuding movies, music, gaming you name it. I'm happy to spend up to 3, 4 hundred dollars if I know I'm getting a product worth the money. As for the music, my tastes are broad so I prefer to go for flat and accurate sound, although I am a fan of Sennheiser's which some say can lack treble. My main issue is these higher-end, professional headphones aren't marketed with games in mind so its unclear which are best for spacial sound. I own a pair of Audio Technica M50xs but they're closed back; the treble can be a little sharp and the spacial positioning isn't all that impressive.
  3. Already planning on the modmic 5
  4. Hi everyone, I'm looking for a new pair of high end headphones for use at my desktop (music, entertainment and gaming). My topic refers specifically to sound stage. Of the headphones in the quality and price region of HD 598, HD 600, ATH-R70x (etc.) what's the best option for great directional audio within games. Thanks a lot.
  5. Hi everyone, Recently had a new PC built which is supposed to have a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD and a WD Black 1TB HDD installed. Since I got the PC the SSD is the only drive that's been visible in my drives, my devices and in Disk Management. I've downloaded the WD Drive Utilities app but that's not recognising any WD drives either. Is there a simple fix that I don't know about or is this a potential problem I need talk about with the people who sold me the build. Any help's appreciated, thanks.
  6. Hi there, I'm currently planning a new build and was hoping to buy a 3440x1440 Gsync display along with it. Until yesterday I was set on getting a Gigabyte 1080 G1 with an i5 7600K that I likely wouldn't OC unless I needed to as I've no experience in OCing. But looking at benchmarks I see that I'll probably want a 1080 Ti if I want to be running games at 100Hz in 1440p Ultrawide. I play a fair amount of online multiplayer games including a lot of competitive Overwatch so I'm definitely looking for good frame rates. An issue is all benchmarks online tend to use Ultra settings. I don't know if were running a GTX 1080 on High settings whether it'd hit 100Hz on games like Overwatch or whether that would still be a struggle at such a high resolution. Ultimately my question is do I need the Ti for 3440x1440 at 100Hz. And if I do get a Ti, will I need to look into a more powerful CPU than the 7600K to prevent any bottlenecking. I'd really appreciate any kind of help anyone can give. Thanks.
