  1. Sorry just to clarify, what exactly is this setting name called? Thanks!
  2. I have recently gotten a new Asus Ac86U router mainly because I got it cheap and brand new through craigslist.I am currently on a 1Gb/s Fibre plan.I am actually a newbie at networking so I am not sure if I should leave the settings to default or there are some settings that I should tweak it out?I hope to gain some advices through this forum, thank you!
  3. What if I were to upgrade to 1Gbps instead of 2Gbps?Would you still recommend consumer grade routers?Would my options above like Asus be viable?Thank you!
  4. What about 1Gbps internet speed, would consumer grade router still be a viable choice?Because I reside in Singapore and hence I can have access to many different Brands of consumer grade routers like Asus,Tplink, netgear etc.I am not really an expert at professional routers or enterprise versions and hence I would prefer a consumer grade one if I were to go for 1Gbps instead of 2Gbps.In this scenario, would you still recommend the above Asus routers that I mentioned or any other Brands?Thank you!
  5. Yes they are indeed dropping on wireless because the router is located in the living room and my room is about 3 walls away.
  6. Alright, here is my problem, basically I have a fibre internet running at 300mbps but however, the default router given was literally thrash,I keep experiencing lag spikes or occasionally increase in ping or even failure to even load a 720p (not to even mention 1080p when watching streams.Despite multiple attempts by my ISP visits to my home, they merely just claim that everything was normal and it was the fault of the router and hence I have changed the same router over and over again(thanks ISP)like around 8 times throughout the past 1 year.I think the problem lies on the router they provided.Hence,I was thinking of just getting my own custom router at this point due to my frustration with the lags.I have considered Asus RT-88U,Asus ROG rapture GT-AC 5300,RT-Ax88u(maybe for future proofing).I know this might sound like overkill but I have plans to upgrade to 2Gbps fibre internet speed later on in this year. What do you guys think about the above routers?I would appreciate other router recommendations as well.Thank you!
  7. I suppose it would only be lazada because I dont think there are any more local E commerce sites.Thank you https://www.lazada.sg
  8. Amazon,Newegg are some sites I woulf prefer but to be honest,I am a newbie at online tech shopping. My budget woulf be around 150-165SGD.Thanks.
  9. Thank you,I would give it a try.I appreciate the solution given by you to me.
  10. which brand of thermal paste would be efficient as in terms of reliability?
  11. Any recommendations for a cheaper and reliable ssd Brands you know of?thank you!
  12. Laptop:Acer Predator Triton 500(PT515-51-70NC) I heard that this model is running Two 256GB of ssd in raid 0 mode by default(Correct me if I’m wrong.)Because I don’t think 512GB of storage will last me throughout my projects as I do video editing, coding and maya etc.I know External/cloud storage can resolve this issue but I still prefer to have 1tb of ssd on my laptop. Is the Samsung Evo 970 m.2 nvme viable?I would appreciate other recommendations as well. And If so,How do i transfer my Windows from the existing ssd to the new ssd,as in software/hardware method?Pardon me as I am new to this. Also,I did like to undervolt my cpu(i7 8750h)But I am not sure how to undervolt it properly as in which software should I use?Should I reapply thermal paste on both the cpu and the gpu as well to get slightly better temperatures after undervolt ? Lastly,Just to confirm that this computer uses a ddr4 2666mhz of ram?Because My model only came with 8Gbs of ram and I am consider to further expand the memory dimm My total Budget for the thermal paste, ssd and another 8GB would be around 300$ SGD.Thank you!
  13. Sure thing.I think I will check with Acer to confirm the warranty issue if I were to remove the sticker.Thanks.
  14. True that,I will take your advise into consideration.Thank you.
