Not all cards can overclock as good as others . Turn the fan curve up and power and let the gpu boost do it's thing.

I got a gigabyte wf1 1060 6gb and it's immense. Never see it over 65c with a hefty memory over clock of 600 and 162 on the core. Highly recommend it.

Nothing wrong with a 1070 either. Jeez.

It may be a trend etc but if your looking for these things and in the know how you realise they are BS and just keep going along

If it's doing it under load then may be the PSU failing but if the card is working normal etc I'd look at the PSU first

Could.be unstable overclock causing the crash ??

Run the same cpu with a 1060 6gb / 1080p and some games at 1440p but mixed settings get me 60fps in any game I've needed it too.

Don't pay the prices Just enjoy your PC with integrated gfx for the time being and wait for new cards or the mining bloom to pop which it will. Loads of people are in the same boat mate, just have to hold out

Yes true. Like most things it goes boom and then it slows and people give it up and it gets cheaper again. And will the the used hardware, cards etc if all it takes is some new fans etc then it will.be worth it!

Yup it is. But the prices ain't worth it for the same hardware when you are spending 25% more on the prices etc. Give it time, wait for Vega etc.

Wouldn't buy any card now prices are a joke. Give it time when the mining boys crash market will even back out and will be a ton of cheap hardware for sale on eBay etc!

Went from a 860k to. 4690k everything was fine apart from the windows key but went into live chat Microsoft or something (maybe a call) can't remember said my old motherboard had died and got a new one and they accepted it. Worked a treat since

148 core and 1004 memory over clock for me. The memory can be pushed hard on the gigabyte version of the card .

Chip could be failing? Old etc maybe is time for a new one !
