  1. hey, sorry for the late answer. I'm using an asus prime z370-a. And I know the cooler is underpowered, but when volta drops I'll go for watercooling instead
  2. Hey. I just built my new gaming pc which works great for the most part. My cabinet is the corsair 570x which comes with 3 sp120 fans. I also purchased a 3-pack of hd120s since they were on sale at the time of purchasing pc parts. Problem is all fans are running extremely loud, driving me to straight up unplug three of them. I have an 8600k and a 1060 with plans of upgrading the GPU once Volta hits the shelves, so the temps didn't change all that much. But the thing is that the cryorig c7 I have cooling the CPU is just as loud, leading me to believe it's a software issue. But any amount of tinkering in Speedfan as well as the BIOS/UEFI can't seem to solve it. What am I doing wrong? It seems the only way to control the fan speed from Corsair's perspective is to shell out for a Commander, which I refuse to do. Any ideas? And if I were to switch them out, are the cooler master masterfans any good?
  3. Hello! My new loop will consist of an EK pump/res combo, a 360mm rad, a 240mm rad, a gtx 1080 or 1080 ti and a ryzen 1700. I have never done a water cooling loop with anything else than a cpu and 1 rad, so I was wondering about the order of components, more specifically if you see any flaws with this: Pump/res --> gpu --> 360 rad --> cpu --> 240 rad Thanks in advance!
  4. ah, ok. Is this something you think will hit the market in the nearby future? If not, what logical alternatives do you think I have?
  5. Hi. I'm thinking about buying one of EK's a240g water cooling sets, as i've been wanting to get into water cooling for quite some time now, but the steep price kept me at bay. The only problem is that I would like to replace the existing soft tubing with some PETG tubing. I'm not very good with water cooling, so I didn't see an issue, until I read on the product plan that EK ''doesn't plan on making hard tube fittings with the fluid gaming linup.'' Where does that leave me? I don't know nearly enough to figure this out myself. Thanks in advance!
  6. That's good to hear! I would probably calibrate it for him anyway, so that wasn't an issue
  7. He's using it for photoshopping
  8. Hi! So my dad has been wanting a new screen for quite some time, but isn't that fond of spending that much money on himself. He does photoshopping, so the old TN panel he's using rn just isn't good enough. I was looking on the norwegian version of craigslist and found a dell u2713h. I'm not that good with monitors anyway, let alone those not for gaming. I looked it up and it had great reviews - in 2013. The screen has the perfect size, resolution, specs and price for him, but has anything changed so much in 4 years that this screen isn't good anymore? If so, why? Thanks in advance for all help!
  9. Thanks for the advice damascus. I have thought of the same thing. Only problem is that the EK a240g isn't available in norway, nor is the compatible reservoirs. Since I'll have to order them from the UK, it will cost around double the price if I buy a reservoir only, but only add a few bucks if I buy it all together.
  10. Hi! I'm quite new to the custom water cooling scene. I am getting into it because of EK's new fluid gaming series. I'm building a whole new system to go with it (upgrading from a 750 ti to a 1080 ti). The case I've chosen is the phanteks enthoo evolv. I am quite a sucker for aesthetics, so I really want a good looking reservoir in my build. i found out that the pump/res combo that comes with the kit is compatible with all x3 reservoirs. Unfortunately (because I'm an absolute scrub) I can't figure out how much space I have in the case or how tall the pump itself is. My question is this: If I swap out the included reservoir with a 250ml x3 one, how tall will that pump and res be, and will it fit in the phanteks enthoo evolv when mounted in a normal vertical stance? Thanks in advance!
  11. oh! That's great to hear. Thanks you so much.
  12. So I think I'm gonna purchase the new ek a240g when it hits the norwegian market. I've wanted to get into custom water cooling loops for a while now, but never did due to the price. But I really want a big reservoir. The reservoir that comes with the kit is a pump/res combo. Would there be any drawbacks to adding a second, bigger reservoir to act as the main reservoir and hide the one that comes with the kit, as to just use it as a pump?
