  1. Thanks for the advice. Yes I was considering getting the Mayflower Arc, but I saw some complaints about the microphone sounding tin-ish compared to connecting the microphone to the motherboard. Apparently there will come a revision of it at some point that will fix this issue. In the meantime I bought this https://www.amazon.com/Syba-Digital-Headphone-Amplifier-Coaxial/dp/B009WN7QT4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1546391138&sr=8-2&keywords=syba+sonic+usb+24+bit+96+khz+dac as it is way cheaper for me to get (need to import it to Norway). We shall see if it's any good. Do you have any problems with the Arc?
  2. Hi, sorry for the late response ? Happy new year! I couldn't make up my mind, so I just got the Sennheiser G4ME One's for now. Thank you @Tarun10 and @xtroria for the advice.
  3. Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out what to buy for my PC. I'm torn on getting a Sennheiser G4ME One headset or getting a headphone with a detachable 3,5mm jack cable, so I can use a V-Moda BoomPro (https://www.v-moda.com/us/en/products/boompro-microphone) with it to avoid further cable clutter. I've tried ModMic 5 and I've only had bad experiences with it. I want a open back headphone and I can use around 100-200 USD (might push it abit further if needed). For example, I was thinking of Sennheiser HD559 + the V-Moda, which I can get for the same price as a G4me One headset. I'm also thinking of getting a external sound card which supports both headphone and microphone connections, but I'm abit unsure on what to buy. Suggestions are appreciated. Budget: 300-400 USD for both open back headphone with a detachable 3,5mm jack cable and a external sound card or DAC/AMP combo. Source/Amp: ASUS Xonar U3 atm, looking to buy a different external sound card or DAC/AMP combo which has both headphone and microphone connections. Usage: At home on my computer (desktop), mostly listening to metal/electronic music, movies and gaming. Tonal balance: I like bass and I don't like very sharp trebles, it is very fatiguing for me. Previous gear experience: None at all, only gaming headsets if those count (Steelseries Siberia v1, Sennheiser GSP300 to name a few). Thanks in advance for any replies!
  4. We were only thinking of a simple setup with a soundbar, subwoofer and maybe two speakers in the back. I was inspired by one of LTT's recent videos where they set up something similar. My mom and dad want a soundbar + subwoofer, but I was thinking if they wanted Dolby Atmos as well, what would it take to make it work properly.
  5. Thanks for replying. Is there a certain specification I should look for in the user's manual for the AVR?
  6. Hi! I'm helping my mom and dad to buy a soundsystem for their TV and bluray player. They want Dolby Atmos, but their TV and bluray player do not have it. Does the TV and bluray player need Dolby Atmos verification to be able to utilize it if they buy a soundsystem that supports it? The soundsystem and bluray player are to be plugged into the TV via TOSLINK and HDMI respectively, so they can use apps on the TV and have sound through the soundsystem. Thanks in advance for all replies. Edit: fixed a typo in the title.
  7. Hi! So my brother is having some troubles with some of his USB ports on his PC. Both USB 2.0 and 3.0 are affected by this. In "Device Manager" there's a tab called "Unknown devices". I can see 2 USB controllers under the tab with an exclamation mark on them. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Things I've tried to fix the issue: - Updated the BIOS to the latest one. I've also checked within the BIOS to see if the USB ports are missing, they are not missing. - Installed latest USB drivers and chipset for the motherboard. - Going into "Device Manager" and click on "Install drivers" for the USB controllers under the "Unknown devices"-tab. Mainly tried the "find driver online" option, but Windows can't find one. - Uninstalling the USB controllers in hope for Windows to correctly install the proper drivers without any luck. Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V Pro CPU: Intel i7 3770k OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  8. Luckily the ASUS card is smaller in height (134mm), while the EVGA card is 142,69mm. @Densetsu's build also fits a 1080, which has the same dimensions as the 1080ti (except for the height). Height > width this time around I guess ?
  9. Thanks for the tip, I prefer the Ncase though since it's so small. ? Yeah, the case isn't really that small and I am already using the Evolv ATX TG now. I kinda want something new, thank you for the tip though.
  10. Alright, sounds good. Thank you for replying. ? And thank you @TVwazhere for showing me his guide!
  11. Damn, That's my dream build ? @Densetsu I see that your GPU had a temperature of 73C and 57,99C on the CPU. Was this with the TG sidepanel or the perforated one?
  12. Thanks for the suggestions! I like the Ncase M1 the most out of the ones that are suggested. Any idea if I would need slim fans between the graphics card and the case to supply enough air to it (if theres any space for it)?
  13. Hello everyone! I want to build a new computer and I'm thinking about using a ITX case. My main problem is finding a ITX case that can accommendate a 2,5 slot graphics card, since I want to reuse the graphics card I got. Does someone know a case that can accomendate a 2,5 slot graphics card or should I try to build my own case?
