  1. Woohoo! I am now a proud owner of a 3 TB disk partition. Nice doing business with you. Thanks for your help
  2. Okay, I did that and now it says that I need to initialise the drive to be able to use it. It gives me 2 options: MBR and GPT. I assume I want GPT?
  3. Yes, I know that, but my problem is that when I right click on this, I can only open Properties. No partitions, nothing.
  4. Hello, I added a 250 GB SSD to my PC, along with a 3 TB HDD. I used to have only the HDD and it was working perfectly fine. When I added the SSD, I did a fresh install of Windows. In the installation menu I just deleted all the existing partitions on the HDD (without formatting them!) and I then installed the Windows to the SSD. During the setup, I noticed that the HDD was separated into 2 parts: 2 TB + 1 TB (700+ GB actually), but I thought I could fix this in the Windows. Now it seems that I can only use 2 TB and I formatted it successfully in the Disk Manager, but the remaining 1 TB part is left there as "Unallocated space" and it doesn't give me any options to format it, nor the option to expand the 2 TB part. I did my digging in the realms of internets, downloaded MiniTool Partition Wizard and found out that this unallocated space is formatted as MBR (Master Boot Record). I can't seem to find a solution to format it to NTSC so I can use it only as storage. The HDD is now completely empty and I have all my data on the SSD so I have no HDD data to lose. However, I don't want to reinstall the Windows because I have a fresh install right now and it took me hours to download all the programs and set it up as I like. I also can't just "unplug" the SSD because it's an M.2 and it's located under the GPU so it would be too much fuss. How do I change the format of the HDD from MBR to NTSC or something so I can use its whole capacity? Thanks for your help.
  5. Hm, the article you sent says that the temps are higher for 1700x and 1800x, but are normal for 1700 (my cpu). I think I'll open another discussion asking about temps when I test it myself a little bit more. Thanks for your concerns and help!
  6. The voltage and everything else is on Auto. I only changed the multiplier and loaded the RAM profile for 3000 MHz. RAM voltage is set to 1.36. CPU is auto. There's also an "AMD Cool&Quiet" function which I disabled because, frankly, I have no idea what it does.
  7. Aida64 was running for 25 minutes and it was around 73-74°C for the whole time. It hit 75 once for a few seconds and fell back to 72. I should mention that my room temperature is always 21-22°C. What other issue do you mean?
  8. Thanks! Yes, when I press on it with my finger it stops. Other than that it's just fan noise.
  9. I really like the case and I actually prefer the blacked out glass, it gives it stealth. However, there's not much space for the PSU if you have a large one like me. Also, you can see where I routed the USB 3.0 cable on the second pic. There's a hole there in the shroud, but the damn cable doesn't fit when the motherboard is already installed. I learned that the hard way. I also kinda messed up the bottom dust filter so now it's slightly crooked and from time to time it makes loud buzzing noise and it's really annoying and I don't know how to fix it... And measure your graphics card. I have exactly 3 cm between the fan and the card. Other than that, it's a really nice case.
  10. I tried 3.6GHz and it didn't crash, however the temps were just going through the roof and I don't want to break my PC for which I literally left blood, sweat and tears. In a few months I'll probably get an AIO because I can't stop spending money on unnecessary s*it. I am a little bit concerned because my temperatures at idle are in the low 50s and if I crank up the fans, it can get really loud.
  11. I was building the PC by watching Tech Deals' Ryzen 5 build and he got the 1600 to 3.7 GHz just by writing "37" in the multiplier. Stock cooler, stock voltage. I may get an AIO in the near future, but for now I'm satisfied with my 3.5GHz. I don't have a reference because this is the best I have ever seen.
  12. Hello everyone, as you probably don't know because you don't know me, I was buying parts for my PC build for months now. I had some trouble with prices, but I managed to get the most for my money (at least I like to believe so). Anyway, I have finally got all the parts (except for an SSD, still need one of those, waiting for a deal on one) and built it with the help of YouTube videos. I have never built a PC before. Heck, I haven't even open a PC case before, but I did it and here it is on my desk, working. I wanted to overclock the CPU and the GPU, but I've had some problems with it. The R7 1700 would crash at 3.7GHz at stock voltage (stock cooler) and at 3.6GHz it would run Cinebench, but crash in Aida64. I have a picture of my temperatures running Aida64 stress test, clocked stably at 3.5GHZ. What do you think of my temperatures? I'm going to get 2 more case fans so that should help a little. The GPU overclock was stable in Unigine Valley, but crashed immediately when I started Fortnite, so I just reset the OC to stock settings and I'll try again when I get the fans. You can see the rest of the parts here ( https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/KFv8D8 ) and I have some pictures of the PC and the desk. Let me know what you think and if I can make something better.
  13. Is gaming at 1440p noticeably sharper/prettier than 1080p? I have never experienced anything more than 1080p, but I know that the difference is huge at 4k (edit: I assume that from the experience on TVs because 1080p seems kinda pixely on my 32" TV)
  14. I'm in the process of picking parts for a PC and I have around 300€ for a monitor. In that budget I found a Samsung and an Acer monitor, both 28", that are 3840x2160, but with TN panels. On the other side, I found some Lenovo, iiyama and Acer monitors that are 27", have 2560x1440 resolution and IPS panels. All the monitors are at 60 Hz (iiyama at 75 Hz I think), roughly the same size and price. The PC in question is going to have a Ryzen 7 1700 and a GTX 1080 so I don't know if that is going to be enough to hit the magic 60 fps at 4k resolution. So should I go for better colours and viewing angles or better resolution?
