  1. Well, it works lol. I'm currently using it. Edit : Forgot to mention but the 2nd RAM slot is mysteriously working now. My RAM is on the 2nd slot currently
  2. So, I bent some of my motherboard pins and I used my phones camera with zoom and the pointy side of a safety pin to fix it. I always used the first RAM slot only(Except when I bought the board and checked it myself). I'm on my PC now and it works fine. But the PC will only post with the RAM on the first slot. I did see a weirdly angled pin but failed to fix it with many tries. I think the top of that pin got damaged which makes it look weird. Maybe I should mention that out of stress, I also dropped my CPU and bent 2 corners. Seemed like some layers split but I just pressed them together and it runs fine. Could it be that it's not for a bent pin and that pin is making proper contact?
  3. The cheapest Asus board here is the Prime B350m-A which costs about 25 USD more here. The ASrock one seems a lot more appealing to me with that price. The only thing that I think will even matter to me which is better with the Asus one is probably looks. Gigabyte's AB350m Gaming 3 seems more appealing in that case to me.
  4. Well, I just noticed that the ASrock's color is shitty lol. I would've gone with the MSI if the issues were minor. Seems like they're not. Did tom_w141 get a notification because you mentioned him. I'm new here, so idk.
  5. Thanks. I was leaning towards the ASrock due to all the videos about it saying it overclocks good with relatively low voltages
  6. Which board should I get for my Ryzen 5 1600?
  7. I have the choice of buying a brand new Intel 128GB 600P SSD or a used Corsair Force LE 240GB with 2 years warranty left around the same price. I'm not sure if I'll need 240GB. I don't plan on keeping even a single game on my SSD. I only keep Windows and every single other program like IDM, Chrome, Fraps, drivers, etc. I even keep my downloads on a different partition of my HDD. Only 40GB of the 145GB is used on the boot drive. Any chances of windows getting much larger with updates? What should I buy?
  8. Enough for the games you mentioned. GTA 5 pulls a hell lot more frames if you have a better CPU on high end cards but it's still very playable on your CPU. The future is also something to consider if you plan to buy new games and play them. Newer games are getting CPU heavy. Games are starting to utilize more cores and threads but IPC still matters since the load isn't parallel across the cores. The main difference maker while switching to a higher end AM3+ CPU will be the clock speeds. I'd say keep the CPU since the games you're playing will run well and if you plan to play newer games at great framerates and take the future into account, save the money instead of getting another AM3+ CPU.
  9. Depends on your budget. I'd say get an i5 or R5 if you can get one. I'm leaning towards the R5. If you can't get one, I think you're better off saving some money than buying something like an i3 or a G4560. The Ryzen 3 could also be something to consider buying given that they launch it at a good price
  10. And that should not cause any issues, right? I assume the adapters will not use all the wires if it provides more power than a 8 pin
  11. By the way... Will it lead to anything big aside the higher power draw? Like, any damage to my hardware's lifespan?
  12. Thank you I can't expect a good 750w PSU to not run a single graphics card but well... I was paranoid
