I just got new AT&T fiber internet a week ago the modem came with router with it, so its one. I want to hook up my netgear router because the wifi is not the best especially when you have 1gig down and 1gig up. So its not a normal plug and play so what would i have to do to hook up the netgear to the modem &router combo?

@DocSwag Hey doc wanted to follow up on the beep sound i think i figured it out by accident haha. I have a ups battery back up and i think i have to much plugged into it so my pc was not getting sufficient power.

@DocSwag When it first starts it stutters, then it is constant. But nothing feels different. Like last night i played pubg for like 2 hours no beeps or anything.

I want to upgrade to the i7 8700k, but im not sure if my motherboard will be compatible. I'm not sure if i will have to invest in another motherboard as well.

@DocSwag It only beeps, temps are fine and everything just have to turn power down on gpu. Then turn it back up minutes later and its fine.

What motherboard socket is the i7 8700k going to need?

My gpu is 1080ti icx evga

When i open pubg sometimes my PC starts beeping loud think maybe from motherboard, i turn the power for gpu to 85%-87% the beeping will stop. I replaced my psu recently so not sure if its gpu or pubg itself.

Any ideas guys?

@Jurrunio 1080ti ftw icx evga, i had it RMAd once because i thought the gpu had an issue ended up being something else i thought. That is windows creators update windows finally confirmed and that should be fixed hopefully next month with the new windows update

@Jurrunio Yes constant loud beep, and i dont think it is a coil whine @Enderman i watched a video doesn't seem near as loud.

I have replaced my psu recently, but at time when opening games really only pubg my motherboard will start to beep continuously. If i turn my gpu power down to like 87% or 85% the beeping will stop is that a bad gpu or is that a pubg issue? Temps are fine when this is going on as well, so all suggestions or opinions are welcome. Thanks, Realz
