  1. Is the solution much more simple than this? Would It be easier to format the SSD again ?
  2. Long Story. I have been trying to install Windows 10 on my MacBook Po Mid 2010 for the past week and have ran into half a dozen errors. The most recent error being actually the installation process. I had trouble with BootCamp 6.1, so I tried using 6.0 because 6.1 brought up this error saying "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac". I then followed a video provided by @DrMacintosh and faced another problem involving partitioning my SSD portrayed by the screenshots below. I tried creating and deleting partitions called BOOTCAMP that I've failed in making, and now I'm left with this. I can't delete the partition, and now, my internal SSD magically has around 190gb (120gb SSD)? Notice the -641 mb on the containerdisk1. Help is appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Reference model and a bronze 80+ EVGA
  4. So I have an Rx- 480 on my main PC and I've had trouble with it in the past. I got it refurbished by AMD when a used 480 would get you around $500, but now that crypto mining has declined in trend, I was wondering if I should still sell my GPU and get an NVIDIA 1060 instead. Seems like NVIDIA's 1060 is less prone to a lot of the issues I face with my GPU (6 pin, Temperature, blacking out, loudness of fan). Thanks
  5. Um. Well, I tried creating and deleting partitions called BOOTCAMP that I've failed in making, and now I'm left with this. (Sorry for bothering you so much about Bootcamp; I'm at my cousin's house for 2 weeks and just want to play coop lol)
  6. I followed the guy to the part where you partition the drive and I faced this error
  7. How do you think I could get ahold of them?
  8. I'm on my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 and I want to install Windows 10, which isn't officially supported by apple, so I go into info.plist and change some things. I successfully create a an install disk and go on to install "Windows 7 or later version" and am faced with this error (Picture at bottom of page). I already tried to go back into info.plist and try to remove and add my model from various parts, but am still stuck with this error. I don't know if I'm missing anything. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate. Thanks

  10. I erased the SSD and there is no option to reformat it as HFS+. The only formatting options include APFS
  11. Ok, I was able to create a bootable USB and booted from there, but instead of saying "reinstall macOS", is says "install macOS". Is there a difference and did I do something wrong?
  12. What do you mean by HFS+? I only see Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
  13. Also, could you walk me through how to format the drive?
  14. Is there a way to solve it without erasing data or is there a way to backup data and put the data into the newly erased SSD?
  15. Okay, so I have this MacBook Pro Mid 2010 and I want to Install Windows 10 on it. Apple doesn't officially support it, so I went into info.plist and changed some things. I create a USB stick and I'm ready to install Windows 10 on BootCamp, until it says "the startup does not have enough space to be partitioned. I have either 44 gb free or I have 70. My user only takes 14 gb but I am taking up 70 gb of storage from system files. Different apps tell me different things. Either way, I have enough free space to partition the drive, so I go on google and it says to partition the drive using Disk Utility. So I try, and the plus sign is greyed out. The solutions online regard erasing the drive and most consist of people using external drives. Am I overthinking this, or is there an answer that someone could give? Any response is welcome, thanks.
  16. What exactly was the issue with your motherboard? I'm using one from Gigabyte also
  17. But my GPU isn't the only one that's running at 100%, it's my CPU and memory along with it
  18. Just finished the malwarebyte scan and nothing acme up. In that case, would these issues be one with the hardware?
  19. Can you provide a link of download for it?
  20. Do you think that I'd be able to sell my GPU for a price that could buy me a 1060?
  21. For GPU, just using the radeon settings- provides temp and usage and for CPU, an app called Core Temp recommended by Austin Evans
  22. Are GPU prices still overpriced? I remember rx 480s going to hundreds above retail price. I'm thinking about selling it and getting am Nvidia 1060. Thoughts?
