Long Story. I have been trying to install Windows 10 on my MacBook Po Mid 2010 for the past week and have ran into half a dozen errors. The most recent error being actually the installation process. I had trouble with BootCamp 6.1, so I tried using 6.0 because 6.1 brought up this error saying "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac". I then followed a video provided by @DrMacintosh and faced another problem involving partitioning my SSD portrayed by the screenshots below. I tried creating and deleting partitions called BOOTCAMP that I've failed in making, and now I'm left with this. I can't delete the partition, and now, my internal SSD magically has around 190gb (120gb SSD)? Notice the -641 mb on the containerdisk1. Help is appreciated. Thanks.

So I have an Rx- 480 on my main PC and I've had trouble with it in the past. I got it refurbished by AMD when a used 480 would get you around $500, but now that crypto mining has declined in trend, I was wondering if I should still sell my GPU and get an NVIDIA 1060 instead. Seems like NVIDIA's 1060 is less prone to a lot of the issues I face with my GPU (6 pin, Temperature, blacking out, loudness of fan). Thanks

BootCamp Error (HELP)
Devin321 replied to Devin321's topic in Linux, macOS and Everything Not-Windows
Um. Well, I tried creating and deleting partitions called BOOTCAMP that I've failed in making, and now I'm left with this. I can't delete the partition, and now, my internal SSD magically has around 190gb? Notice the -641 on the containerdisk1. (Sorry for bothering you so much about Bootcamp; I'm at my cousin's house for 2 weeks and just want to play coop lol) -
I'm on my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 and I want to install Windows 10, which isn't officially supported by apple, so I go into info.plist and change some things. I successfully create a an install disk and go on to install "Windows 7 or later version" and am faced with this error (Picture at bottom of page). I already tried to go back into info.plist and try to remove and add my model from various parts, but am still stuck with this error. I don't know if I'm missing anything. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate. Thanks

I erased the SSD and there is no option to reformat it as HFS+. The only formatting options include APFS

Ok, I was able to create a bootable USB and booted from there, but instead of saying "reinstall macOS", is says "install macOS". Is there a difference and did I do something wrong?

What do you mean by HFS+? I only see Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

Also, could you walk me through how to format the drive?
