  1. Good to know, I do wish nzxt would have made room for two fans up top at least though, seems like a strange design decision.
  2. In other words pretty damn warm haha, well thats good to know. Assuming I'm doing the conversion from celsius to fahrenheit properly.
  3. Hey all, I've been slowly gathering parts for my first rig here and there and for the most part I've got everything sussed out, except for the case. I originally wanted to go with a nice clean white nzxt s340 elite but after listening to gamers nexus concerns in regards to thermals in comparison to something like the corsair 470x or 570x I'm less sure now. Do case thermals really impact anything that much overall? I dig the 470 and 570 as well but obviously they're at least a bit more expensive than the elite. 4. So I've got the majority of my build all planned out but as I'm still fairly new to all of this I was curious if the oc version of the asus rog stirx was worth the extra cash. I think the price difference isn't huge but if there's really no point then I won't waste the money.
  5. I think the only thing holding me back from going amd for my cpu and mobo at the moment is just that the platform and the hardware that goes with it are so new. Feels like waiting until vega would be a smart option, but I'm pretty ready to build now and could always upgrade to an i7 I suppose. Thoughts?
  6. I'm appreciating the help thus far guys so thank you. Another question, which is probably an easy one, are there any issues when using an amd cpu and mobo with a nvidia gpu?
  7. Tried to do my research, this is what I have so far, I know I don't have everything finished just yet but I just wanted some input from everyone on any recommendations you might have. I'm looking for a monitor now and I'd like to aim for a $500 or so range, 4k would be nice but I'd also be fine with mostly gaming at 1440p and 144mhz as well. The mobo is another area I'm struggling in thus far, I wasn't sure if I should shill out more cash for something in the asus maximus lineup. Final question, will I need to worry about a bottleneck using the i5 with the 1080ti? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
