  1. That's really a good point regarding negative reviews. And i am sorry for misleading title. I intended to mean with the word " best" ----- "best stable/reliable" and have already edited my title thereby. So do you suggest to stick with ASUS x99 STRIX Gaming and have a try? I am horrified because there are lots of negative reviews regarding ASUS x99 Platform. And also I don't know much about Asrock Brand. Do you think Asrock is a good brand for MOBO? and Asrock X99 Thaichi Would be a good Try? Or any personal suggestions on any specific board? Thanks dear for your time in helping me.
  2. Can any one suggest me the best x99 motherboard for i7 6850K? I am seeing lots for negative reviews over internet and getting almost no MOBO on this platform that is stable 100%. For Example, There are lots of complain regarding RAM slot problem, CPU and MOBO frying, MOBO failure, USB problem and so on.... Reference: Asus X99 STRIX Gaming Reviews on Newegg, Please Look into the 1* reviews Can anyone explain why are such high failure rate or Bad Reviews of x99 Motherboards? Is anyone here using ASUS x99 STRIX Gaming? Can you share your experience, Please? *** i am assuming most of the reviews resulted from initial launch when BIOS was not stable. May be it's stable now!! That's why I am looking for reviews who are the first hand users of this platform. What about Asrock X99 Thaichi or msi x99a gaming pro carbon or Asus x99E WS? Unfortunately EVGA X99 is not available in my country... Or any other Good suggestion Please? *** Other Info If required for MOBO Suggesions: CPU: Intel i7 6850K PSU: 850 W Cooler master SSD: Samsung 960 Evo GPU: ASUS Strix 1080
  3. What about cooler master 212x or v8 gts or something similar..sorry i have no idea about cooler.
  4. Thanks for your quick reply.. i am from bangladesh. Budget 20 usd to 120 usd for cooler. But i am not intending to pay my max if a lower priced one works just fine for me. And i also dont want any liquid solution rather love to stick with air. my casing will be ,most probably, PHANTEKS PH-ES515ETG ENTHOO EVOLV ATX, TEMPERED GLASS Ram 32 gb. Gpu 1080, cpu 6850k, psu850wt Mobo asus x99 a 2, ssd 960evo 500 gb. Already have purchased everything except psu, casing, cooler. Please suggest me a best value vs price cpu air cooler.. thanks again.
  5. Hello, i am looking for some suggessions of cpu cooler (air not any liquid please) for my cpu 6850k. I am a video renderer not a gamer and have no plan of overclocking my cpu. I might run my pc most of the time around 10- 12 hours. Do i need any cpu cooler? If yes, do i need any high end cpu air cooler or a low budget cooler will be more than enough ? If i do need, which one should i buy? Thanks in advance for you suggession?
  6. Hello, You might have missed my OP. I am also considering 32 GB of RAM... .. Anyway thanks for your suggestions. I really do appreciate it.
  7. Hello, Thank you very much for such great info and suggestions. I have also come to know that The L2 cache has been increased from 256 KB per core to 1 MB per basic and that will lead to improvements in overall system performance. I think it will bring balance to CPU Catching speed/performances. I also think that i7 7800X will perform more or less identical to i7 6850K in term of performance with 100 USD less. The only limitation I am getting in i7 7800X (28PCIE) is less PCIE Lens than 6850K(40PCIE)!! What do you think?
  8. I do not deny the performance and prospect of AMD, I am just afraid of the unknown. nothing else. OK, If I go for AMD which one should I pick on my budget? And also please suggest a great Mobo also... Thanks. Please consider my soft while suggesting CPU for me: Adobe suit, C4D, Blender, Autodesk Maya and 3ds Max. And I am not a Gamer.
  9. I don't why I am a bit afraid of AMD as I have never seen anyone close to me using AMD processor? There are lots of "IF" in my mind such as 1. if the software I am going to use Autodesk, C4D is not optimized for AMD yet, 2. If the ADM does not perform balance with NVIDIA? If quad channel ram is better than dual channel --- ETC. and I think the price of Threadripper would be more than 500 USD, might be around 800 USD ( Not Sure)
  10. I also think so. on top of that, it has only 28 PCIE lens. however trying to be sure it is ok to leave this one out. I will definitely go for a good liquid CPU cooler but which one not decided yet. as I said earlier. My concern here is this CPU has 28 PCIE and 8.5 L3 Cache Memory which is lower than 6850K that comes with 15 L3 caches and 40 PCIE Lens. Will this be an impact for performance and future?- especially lower L3 cache. I don't why I am a bit afraid of AMD as I have never seen anyone close to me using AMD processor? There are lots of IF in my mind such as 1. if the software I am going to use Autodesk, C4D is not optimized for AMD yet, 2. If the ADM does not perform balance with NVIDIA? --- ETC. and I think the price of Threadripper would be more than 500 USD, might be around 800 USD ( Not Sure) My budget for MOBO is around 300 USD. And I have already chosen ASUS X99-A II Motherboard in case I go with i7 6850K. So Please, If not go for AMD... Which one would be best for me between i7 6850K and i7 7800K? or.. Thanks, again for all the info you have given to me.
  11. My initial budget was only/under 400USD. However, I have increased that adding 100 extra and made 500 USD. My thinking is if I go above 500 USD for CPU, Why shouldn't I go for SLI facility also (i am not against SLI). I would buy i7 7820X without asking here if I could get 40 Lens on it. But how ridiculous! Intel has brought a 8 core processor costing 600 USD with only 28 PCIE lens limitation. AND there I go again, I get confused here. ;( .. I don't know but Is it worthy to go with extra 150-200 USD? Anyway.. Thanks for your reply.
  12. My budget for CPU is around/Under 500 USD. My first choice is i7 6850K (480 USD) which has base 3.6 Ghz Speed, 15 MB L3 Cach and 40 PCIE lens. Yes, I may afford either i7 7800X (289 USD) or 7820X (599 USD), in case, I increase my budget a bit. 1. But I see X series CPUs (i have chosen) has 28 PCIE lens ( 28 PCIE lens may not be a barrier for me as I may have very minimum chances of future SLI). 2. Both CPU has a lower L3 cache ( In the case of i7 7800X it is 8.25 MB, and in the case of i7 7820X it is 11 MB) than i7 6850K (15 MB), Is not that an important issue? (i don't know) 3. Yes, Base Clock Speed is almost identical for all three CPU. 4. yes both i7 6850K and 7800X has 6 core and 12 thread (So, here both CPUs are in a tie) But i7 7820 has 8 core and 16 thread ( but I don't think going for extra two core with the limitation of 28 PCIE lens and cache is wise (in my case) where the CPU is also almost 150 USD more than the price of i7 6850K) So my understanding is- Still i7 6850K is an all rounder and great to go with. and if lower PCIE and L3 Cache Memory are not a barrier for future i7 7800X is also a great option. Note that, I am not an expert. So I might be wrong here. These are just my understanding. Which one should I pick? is it i7 6850K or i7 7800X or ... Please help. 13. If, not mistaken it is available in 450 USD: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Support-08G-P4-5173-KR/dp/B01KVZBNY0/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1497512591&sr=8-5&keywords=asus+gtx+1070 When I made the budget I saw ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX was just 449 USD. Price has been increased yesterday due to stock shortage but I am pretty sure it will be lowered again at 445 USD after 18. 6. 2017.
  14. Hello domandric034, It is not much but ... CPU- 300USD -500 USDGPU- 450 USDMy Total Budget is Around 1700K-2000K. Thanks.
  15. Oh Dear, Don't get too rude with him. It could be typo mistake. I am sure that he has written CPU in place of GPU.
