  1. if the gpu has decent cooling regardless of how tight the fit is, as long as its not pushing up against other components or cables it should be fine. And as long as it has good airflow it should be fine. As to building carpet, pass lol. i would go for a table, its not so much the static electricity its the dirt and debris that can get in your case that worries me.
  2. if you are more of a visual person, then I would recommend cbtnuggets, as they have several different topics for you to choose from. To see which technology tickles your fancy. If you are a more reddit/reading type person then books from authors you normally watch online would be the way to go.
  3. I hope so, but judging by the market share of ethereum the only way it could go down is if the roof fell from under it which is entirely possible with crypto-currency
  4. Hello, guys I am new here but have been a long fan of Linus since he was making reviews in sandals outside of NCIX . In any event I saw his video friday about the shortage of AMD gpus due to cryptocurrency and in particular Ethereum. A year from now would you buy a rx 480 or 580 from someone after watching this video? The card could have been running full tilt for over a year and on its last legs, is it still a good deal? Crypto-mining can be made faster by overclocking as well but the usage rate of the card itself increases exponentially. I feel it to be a valid topic for discussion. Also, the new cards coming out by AMD/Nvidia specifically for miners, have a flaw of being unable to sell the card to gamers for a profit. Would you consider a card that is 100 bucks cheaper when you know a year from now if the card starts to show its age, its nothing more than a paperweight? Id love to know you guys's opinion. But in any event glad to be here and all the best!!!
