  1. what do you mean, limit frames?
  2. The 780 just got sold so I think I might just wait it out and save on the side for a 1080, probably second hand. Just want a lot of headroom and too not have to worry about playing any game with lag etc at 1080p
  3. Hey guys. I currently have a R9 280. I've been shopping around for a GTX 1080 but due to other circumstances I have to spend my money other places. The R9 280 just isn't doing the job for me, so I'm looking at a GTX 780ti for $150AUD. Would this be a considerable upgrade? I game in 1080p, 60hz. Just wanting to play PUBG, BF1 and esports games. I've seen some videos of people using a i7 4790 and a GTX 780ti on PUBG getting well over 70fps on Ultra, seems to good to be true. Any help appreciated
  4. Yeah I have looked at the benchmarks and they seem to be all around the 50-60fps at 1080p. Would it be a good choice to add another 8gb of ram to my system before the card?
  5. I see you have a 1060 aswell, can you give me some results that you'd be getting if you play BF1 etc? Do you find that it dips or stutters a lot during intense moments
  6. Hey guys, I currently have a i7 4790 non K, and a Sapphire R9 280 3gb. I am playing games like Battlefield 1 on High at 60fps but when it gets into "intense" moments with lots of stuff to render i.e explosions it can drop down to 30fps and then back up. Obviously this isn't ideal cause those moments are when I need my computer to perform best. I need some help with choosing my next graphic card. I have the R9 280 at the moment, which is getting quite old. I just want a new graphics card that gonna play games like, Battlefield 1, Arma 3, Fortnite, LOL, CS:GO at 1080p only. I don't have the money or interest in 4k monitors, due to my eyesight not being the best anyway I can't justify buying such expensive monitors. I am thinking to get a GTX 1060 or would even that be overkill for 1080p High/Ultra Settings on the above games? Would a 1050ti get me by, I have the money to go and get a 1080ti but there really isn't a point is there, especially because I'm only on 1080p, better of spending the money somewhere else. Any opinion helps, and extra points if you have a I7 4790 yourself and can give me some results. Thanks in advance!
  7. Hey guys, currently I just have my OS on the internal hard drive of my computer. I have a external hard drive sitting around. Can I put the OS onto the external hard drive and if so, how do i go about it. Thank you
  8. Okay, so I'll just try and find a 1060 for cheaper price, or even a second hand 980ti?
  9. Looks a lot better, for the games I want to play I guess it wouldn't be worth going to the 10 series card
  10. Hey guys, I just got a i7 4790. Currently I have a R9 280 gpu, and I'm looking to upgrade this now that I have a better CPU. I'm in Australia, and I can get a second hand GTX 780ti for around $150, honestly just looking to play games like Fornite, BeamNG, PUBG, Battlefield 1, at decent settings and not have to worry about lag. Should I just go for the 780ti, or spend the extra and get a mid range 1060? Any opinion helps, thanks!
  11. Hey, how would I go about checking if the computer is at 2.4 or 5ghz? Thanks
  12. Is there a link you could send me for some more help on this?
  13. I used to be running a stick, and then it just started playing up and getting slow speeds, so yesterday i went and got the card, and its just had the same results, sometimes I get 20mbps but then 9/10 times I get terrible results. The antennas are as tight as can be.
  14. There's about 10-12 meters, one wall
  15. Hey guys, looking for some help in regards to my computers wifi. I've tested my tablet, phone, other computers, ps4 and xbox, they all give back a download of over 50mbps and around that for upload. And usually the ping is around 18. But when I get onto my main computer, i can barely get 1mbps, and the ping has insane spikes. I'm running a PCIe slot card that is rated for 300mbps. I've tried every single tip that I have seen on the internet, after hours of searching. I even reset my computer back to factory settings and started fresh just incase there was a program or virus that was limiting me. Still nothing worked, so I need some help. I am going to hook my computer up to ethernet later on, but I can't just set my computer up where the ethernet is, otherwise I would be running a wired connection. I used to get over 50mbps on my computer, nothing's changed on it, just randomly starting pinging and having really slow downloads. Any help is really appreciated as I am really fed up with this, I am going to contact my provider, which is Westnet/iiNet and get a technician out if nothing changes. Thank you! ~I have posted this in the networking section, but I got 2 comments back, so this was the place to post~
