i bought the Z270 gaming M7 in june, i didnt feel like upgrading mobos, also Coffee lake is kind of unimpressive in benchmarking right now, 7th gen came down in price aswell with the 8th gen coming out, so it just made more sense to get the one that was cheaper with similar specs. id rather save my money for Volta.

evga supernova g2 550, same as the 750

i was considering that upgrade in the Very distant future lol, but assuming i can afford a 1080Ti i can get a bigger PSU with it. gotta run all three 8pins on the Lightning Z am i right?

im sure everyone is annoyed by these by now but i hoping to get some help. i just upgraded my system to an i7 7700k, and im curious about if i should upgrade the power supply, i have a Borrowed 750w in it rn but would a 550w be ok for it? CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz(OC'd to 4.6Ghz rn) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H60 Motherboard: MSI - Z270 GAMING M7 Memory: Avexir ROG Tesla 2x4Gb(this is being upgraded to 2x8Gb Tridentz RGB next week) Storage: 240Gb Corsair MX 100 SSD/Western Digital - BLACK SERIES 1TB Video Card: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X Case: NZXT - Noctis 450 Current Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W Power supply im curious about handling it is the same just a 550w.
