  1. My card is a 1060 and I have the same problem. But if I plug it into my MB it sees my real monitor BUT if I plug it into my card it sees my monitor as just a generic device, this bs started just recently too, latest driver. Could this be a bug with the latest driver or something? I thought my card was having the problem. Do you have a EVGA card too? My monitor is a BenQ. Also with my problem forcing it to custom to a acceptable size makes it just look like its trying to stuff the size in a small box as well. So our problems are pretty close if not the same.
  2. I only have a VGA and a DVI cable. I also have the latest drivers for my card. I don't know how to make the monitor drivers work. It doesn't seem to accept the drivers when I do what the manual says. If I use the VGA and connect it to my MB I can get 1920 x 1080 But it still doesn't see my monitor as a BenQ instead of " Generic " and there for limits what I can do.
  3. Hello I have a BenQ XL2720Z monitor and I can't seem to get my system to understand its not a "Generic monitor". This is a problem because its only giving me 1024 x768 and 800x600 screen options. So the screen fits in a tiny box in the middle of the display. lol Edit: I no longer have my BenQ disk that came with the monitor.

  5. I recently got a "WD Blue SATA 6Gb/s 2.5 Inch 500GB Internal SSD Solid State Drive" and something about it has been confusing me. You see it worked fine. BUT only as long as I used my old HD as the main boot drive. As soon as I tried using it as the main boot drive. My Bios blanked. I ended up with a fight and a few days later forced the Bios to behave with the new drive. But now. The system refuses to boot up if I use my graphics card at the same time as I'm using my new harddrive as the boot drive. This is so confusing to me. If it was a power issue Why would everything work fine when I use the old HD as the boot drive while still having the new drive plugged in and using as a secondary drive?
  6. Would I need anything extra to make the programs work from the non main drive? Also would this help decrease the load of both drives when doing gaming? (Well decrease the HDs load) as such would the HD be faster for gaming then if all the stuff was on the HD drive?
  7. Hello I was wondering. Would it be a good idea to get two drives. One a SSD that only has my windows and system programs and the other a HD with games installed on it? I know Its ok to use another drive for storage but would it be a good idea to play games from the non main drive? I'm not worried about the HD being slower for gaming as thats what I use now and its fine. I'm worried mainly about mixing drive types like this might fuck something or need something weird. I'm also worried that it might slow down my gaming more then when i have everything on my HD, I'm also unsure if extra drives can use programs or not, as the main system/windows is on another drive. I've tried to read some of the stickied topics for a answer but its mostly mumbo jumbo to me x.x
  8. would a brush work? idk how i would get a cloth into the prongs and stuff
  9. How would I clean it useing common household items if there is a way?
  10. Well I ask because of the look of it. I'm not sure if its just tarnished, rusted or supposed to look that way at all and if it is would it be safe to connect to something? would it "infect" or screw my display/cards ports. etc
  11. Is this wire ok to use? This wire is for my display so I hope I'm in the right place to ask. New Bitmap Image.bmp New Bitmap Image (3).bmp New Bitmap Image (2).bmp
