  1. So I don't usually post in forums. More of a lurker. But I'm getting ready to part ways with build and I thought I'd put some pics of it out there and see what everyone thinks. This build was done back at the beginning of the year. It was funny because I was about 30-40 hours in when LTT posted their video of Alex's build. Anyway, this is my take. We've dubbed it "ZenBox" Ventilation was obviously challenging. I cut out the inset pieces in the top of the "X" to allow some airflow. The 1U PSU from Silverstone is a beastly little piece of tech and I was glad to see it used in a recent video. Budget was $500. Most parts were purchased second hand. I couldn't bring myself to cut up brand new parts. There was a lot of that. I went trough 10 locksmith cutting wheels on my Dremmel. The Inner cage is puff can painted 5 coats with 3 coats of clear over top to keep it shiny. Magnetic RGB lights line the inside for ample unicorn poop capability and the original front LED silicon was left intact but the wiring was changed and new wire soldered to the old traces to give the look of of a constant red ring. Left side is power indicator and right side is HDD status. The Original controller port were removed and 2x usb 3.0 and 2x usb 2.0 ports added with the help of an ample amount of plastic welding and adhesive cement.
