  1. where did you find one? I found a few on Ebay, but all untested sold as not working. since they're pulled from non functional units and this is a common problem those boards have a 99% chance of being defective. if it's used but tested that's good for me. I've had the receiver for almost a year, paid about 120 euro for this, which was an awesome deal, but I guess it had these issues comming (they usually go for about 250-300) . the previous owner had put Heatsinks on the DTS chip and Main chip on the HDMI board, they're so small, so they're pretty useless. I think these Receivers are from 2012, and this already has a replaced board so I assume it's 8 years old. Edit: Spelling
  2. hello, 2 weeks ago my Onkyo TX-NR808 was having major issues, it's a known issue tho so plenty of fixes. (Lose DTS chip) I now have sound again, through HDMI, and output through speakers. The issues I'm having now is that my receiver is saying "no signal" to every input, it does regonize an input. just the output and Menu are reachable and usable perfectly fine. I've tried to find a replacement board, but no luck there, on the Whole used/new marketplace I cannot find any that can be shipped to the netherlands. Model Number HDMI Board: BCHDM-0471 I've also read somewhere that I could replace a few capacitors and fix it. I've done this before with result, I just need to know where I need to look (I've done it with obvious capacitor Failure so never needed to track one down) any help, tips, links to replacements boards are welcome.
  3. I'm having troubles with my B350 board, here is the problem. my PC has been very, and I mean very unstable last few days (I was at a lanparty) temps were fine and overclock was at 4Ghz were it has always veen stable (1.275v) I reset my bios with the hope it would fix my problem. but no, still crashes randomly, reinstalled windows (they were kernell bluescreens, so I thought there may be some corrupt files, but no). now I'm home trying to figure it out I ran in another issue, the PC hangs on a black screen for 2 minutes, then bios post for 2 minutes and into windows, normally this would take 10-20 seconds. when I get into the bios it literally takes 1 minute to respond to my input. I haven't done any recent bios updates or anything, it was working perfectly fine a week ago. system specs: MSI B350 PC Mate R5 2600 (cooled by CM master liquide lite 240) 16GB 3200mhz HyperX Predator 1000watt CM PSU 120gb SSD, 2* 1TB drives, 1* 500GB drive (note: one drive was behaving very strangely, that drive is almost brand new and it had reallocated sectors) also, disconnecting all the drives makes no difference. newest version of Windows 10 (clean install of an older version because it all started since the newest version of windows) I hope somebody can help me, otherwise I have no idea what to do.
  4. I'm doing a setup expansion with a dedicated simrig for simdrifting I just build a dedicated simrig with 3 monitors, I already have 4 monitors in my setup without these 3, so i need a second GPU to power those 3. I don't have the money to buy another 1070 or better, so got a R7 250X (I had laying around) put that in my system, connect the 3 monitors, put them in eyefinity (this all works like a charm) now here is where I need help, I came up with the idea when I watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY4s35uULg4& so I want my 1070 to do the rendering and let my R7 250X display what my 1070 rendert, I expect some performance loss offcourse. but I have no idea how to do this properly. 5. I have my Asrock Z77 Extreme wich I replaced about 2 months ago by buying a new rig, I fired up the board about a months ago without any problems (wanted to use it as a server, plan never came through). the motherboard has been stored very well on a shelf with a socket cover over the socket and in an antistatic bag. now someone wants to buy the board and I am testing it before selling, and first it did completely nothing, no LED's nothing, not even on the lan port. now I can force it to turn on (after that the LED's and power switch work just fine) when I try to post it turns on, throws out a post code and shuts down, I've seen multiple post codes. Postcode 10 (almost instant shutdown), Postcode 33 (instant shutdown) and Postcode 55 (takes 10 seconds to shut down) all these postcodes indicate to memory being faulty. I tried: clearing CMOS different PSU (confirmed working) other RAM (confirmed working) all different ram slots with 3 different types of ram replaced CMOS battery (nothing changes) reseated the CPU multiple times cleaned the socket cleaned the ram slots reseated the bios chip running only the board and CPU (postcode 22, although not 55 as it should because memory isn't detected, 22 is for memory and CPU) after some more digging around, I can only find the postcode 10 and postcode 55, about postcode 33 and 22 is nothing. yes that was cleary what I read and what was on the DrDebug pls can somebody help me.
  6. Today when I started the PC with Asus RC Bluetooth it started, CPU ok, Memory ok (rare on a cold start on this board, another one of my issues with this board), VGA Bios ok, Cmos Error. no post nothing, no display. so first of all bios reset through RC Bluetooth, no luck, reset with the button on the back, nothing. Reset with the jumper and taking Cmos battery out, nothing. switched bios, nothing, did the same thing with the second bios, nothing. so I am assuming the board died on me this morning, I already got my money back for the board, so it's only time wasted. I already have an agreement on an Evga X58 Classified SLI, I've heard good things about it. thanks for all the replies you guys, awesome community!
  7. I have a separate Sata3 controller, it worked on my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 just fine with the OS, motherboard and SSD. I know right, had some issues with that too, worked out fine after couple of hours trying bios related stuff, later I tried putting the stick from channel A to Channel B, and everything worked just fine (memory wise)
  8. I have USB 3.0 enabled, tried it on both Usb 2.0 and 3.0. I have already done all your steps twice, or more, so no luck there.
  9. yea, same, but even when booting (although it only was a few times) felt sluggish and slow. that's why I have the external Sata controller. but that doesn't explain why I can't boot of a bootable USB, and that's the main issue right now.
  10. I don't know what BSOD error I get, there is no display to give an error code. only checklight, that all turnoff (that means everything is working) because the Sata3 controller is the Marvell 9128 (the shittiest Sata3 controller ever, to can set it to AHCI and it stays on IDE) I have an PCI-E sata3 controller for my SSD. HPET is to 64Bit aswell (I should've mentioned these, sorry)
  11. I just rebuild my PC, I switched my motherboard from a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 to an Asus Rampage 3 Extreme. I already have an installation on my SSD (OCZ Vertex 460) it was all working fine untill I started it with the Rampage, it started fine at first, it restarted because the high IOH temp, and Instant bluescreen on boot. when I put the SSD in my laptop and it works fine. When I reset windows on my laptop, it worked again on the first time but after I restart it, same problem. when I try to clean install it goes past the post, but hangs on the pre-boot post (the console like boot search)
  12. I know windows can't do that, but I want my KVM to run windows, but my existing windows installation. That's good, I'll test it in a few hours.
  13. okay, thank you, I'll try it tommorow. I have a dual boot for but it works and I have windows. I do still have a question though, can I use my already installed windows 10 for the KVM with GPU passthrough? and can I use a secondary complete drive for my steam library on the KVM?
  14. it should be, how can I check? (I am very new to Linux, I've been windows user since I got a PC, so that's 3 years now) and if it's off, how to I turn it on?
