  1. I don't have a rack to put that in,nor the space for a rack, and what would the noise level be on that? Also with mine i could convert it to a regular pc for gaming down the line if I wanted to go that route.
  2. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gY7WsJ So this is what I am envisioning part wise and would like some advice. Games I'll most likely host one at a time: Ark: Survival Evolved, Rust, Minecraft, DayZ etc.. I will be installing windows because it's what im familiar with and I only plan on having at most 10 people on it at any given time. My goal was something semi small but still aesthetically pleasing so I'm going for a mini-itx build. CPU: g4560 - I've read glowing reviews about this cpu and it has hyperthreading so figured for hosting one game off it, it should suffice. Any recommendations here would be helpful. RAM: 16gb Not sure if this is overkill or not so recommendations here would be appreciated. SSD: Went with an SSD because i've read the faster read/write will be beneficial for server hosting. Case: I love the enthoo so yea! PSU: I chose this because one it's fully modular and two if it's under 20% usage the fans wont kick on and I would love for the build to be silent. GPU: I've read these aren't really useful server wise so I didn't include one. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.
  3. The $1299 build has better specs then both of them... and they're similarly priced My buddy is handling it so I'm not sure he just gave me these as options so I'd figured I'd see which is best. this ryzen 7 build is interesting but in the end will cost me about $100 or so more and that's not including tax and 1300 is pretty much my limit including windows.
  4. I built my last pc and it was fun but I saw these deals I thought I'd give them some assessment.
  5. They are all pre-built. Do you think I could build something with similar performance for less?
  6. The following is a few system and I was wondering which would be the best to pick up. If I want to replace the cpu I'd pretty much have to replace the mobo as well. But adding storage and ram would be easy. First System - $1099 Processor: Intel Core 7th Generation i5-7400 Processor (Quad Core, up to 3.50 GHz, 6M Cache, 65W) Windows 10 Pro 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) 16GB DDR4 Non-ECC UDIMM 2400MHz (1X16GB) NVDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X Second - $1249 Processor: Intel Core 7th Generation i7-7700K Processor (Quad Core, up to 4.50 GHz, 8MB Cache, 91W) Windows 10 Home 64bit English 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) 16GB HyperX® FURY DDR4 XMP 2667MHz (1X16GB) Tray load DVD Drive (Reads and Writes to DVD/CD) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 Third - $1189 Processor: Intel Core 6th Generation i7-6700 Processor (Quad Core, up to 4.0 GHz, 8M Cache, 65W) Windows 10 Home 64bit English 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) 256GB PCIe NVMe Drive 16GB DDR4 Non- ECC 2133MHz (1x16GB) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 Fourth - $1299 Processor: Intel Core 7th Generation i7-7700K Processor (Quad Core, up to 4.50 GHz, 8MB Cache, 91W) Windows 10 Home 64bit English 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) 16GB HyperX® FURY DDR4 XMP 2667MHz (1X16GB) NVDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X
