  1. Understandably there probably no demand for this haha kinda giving up at this point, might just have to live with it.
  2. Thanks, Is there maybe a layman's terms answer though, I'm assuming that's a no unless my mobos have this feature? Do you know of any good options? I don't mind if there's something sticking out the back I guess.
  3. You can get a bracket for the case that lets you put a itx at the top
  4. The ITX is mounted at the top of the case w/ the Evolv X meaning space is limited and there's no way for anything internally to come out the back unless it's rear IO (hence why I'm thinking USB and such) but thanks for the idea, crazy knowing that that exists lol.
  5. So I now have two systems in my new case (Evolv X - ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac, MSI MEG X399 CREATION) and one thing I overlooked was networking. The mITX system only has one PCI slot of course and that's taken up by a GPU, so I'm stuck with the 1Gbe ports. There's going to be a lot of shared data, backups and network rendering so I would love to have bridged 10Gbe but my network cards aren't really gonna work with this situation. One idea I had was to use the USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A or C ports as they are specced at 10 Gb/s and I feel like I've heard of this being a thing (or is that thunderbolt?) it's something I have very limited knowledge on so I'm not sure what the best product would be for this, or if it even exists. Also I have some Mellanox MNPA19-XTR's so could add that to the meg but would need some way to get SFP added to the ITX. So yeahhh anyone have any ideas? hopefully, nothing that will cost a liver.
  6. Eh why not, it'll probably look better on the PSU window anywhos. Honestly the budget is not a huge problem atm it's just that I've kinda hit a brick wall with this platform, shame I already have the 9900k. but yeah, I do know the VRMs are the best on the Gigabytes boards but didn't know the Taichi was actually worse than the z370 wot Guess the Ultra might look alright if I set it to white, can't go pro cause of the M.2s.
  7. Sounds good to me, this is probably what I'm going with for the main PC. If you're wondering about the two kits it was to avoid the >1k import tax when DRAM was crazy high. Hasn't cause issues yet. 8. yeah could save $50-60 going Silverstone over the HX, I have a Strider Platinum 750w atm, weird seeing that the 1000w is cheaper lol.
  9. Am on 9900k/1080ti atm (2080ti in the mail), was thinking of waiting for the next cycle to go TR cause I'm craving pci lanes (z390 be like: if you use 3 m.2's we disable 5 SATA ports and lol u only have 6 so no fun raid setups for u son). So ya might just be safe and go for a higher watt Corsair whatever series w/ i, the digital aspect appeals to me and I guess it would show both systems combined wattage which is coolio. That's pretty funny though, but hey, at least they give you the option
  10. Ahhhh right so only split the 24pin, that makes sense. That'd probably save me a lot of money too tbh. Thanks for that! I didn't read the splitter tech specs well enough, just saw "max 452W" and noped right over it haha.
  11. I'm planning a dual system in the P600S or Evolv X (crazy but tryna save a bit of space for a Plex/NAS/Backup Solution/whatever + why not lol) I prefer the P600s cause of the white/silence factor but the Evolv X does have a lot more storage options going on so still deciding there (think it's pretty rude of them to remove the 2.5 brackets in the X though but that's another topic). Anyway, before I can even start the itx stuff I'd need the Revolt X PSU but from quick googling, PC Case Gear are the only ones who stock them and they're out of stock. I assume cause it's new and in low volume? I saw some on eBay for around $100 extra but I'd be worried about the plug being incompatible. Not sure if there are any other dual power supplies like this but I'd be open to ideas. I did look into the Phanteks powers splitter but the max output was very weak and combined the systems would go over it. Is it possible to maybe order one in through someone? Otherwise, I guess I'll just build the main system and wait for them to be in stock but with computer stuff, I can get a bit impatient haha. Thanks!
  12. I'll personally be waiting for the "ti" version of the next gen to come out, which if past launch dates are consistent, it'll be later in the year or even the year after. 1080ti Is and still will be a good card for a good while so I'd go for it for now then do another upgrade later.
