  1. Hi! Quick Disclaimer: I am not very familiar with Windows 10 or Windows in general since I just as of last January got myself a self-built PC (Mac-user usually). So bare with me if I have not checked all the flags needed in order to verify and narrow down my problem. The part in question: ASUS Z270i Motherboard with Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Bluetooth Module Windows Version: Windows 10 64-Bit (Build: 17134.165) Bluetooth Driver Version: 10.0.0.448 The Issue: I was able to connect everything bluetooth related as like headphones, keyboards, mice, and my DS4 (PS4 controller) in the beginning. After some time (no relevant update before the time it appeared) my bluetooth connection started to time out and eventually to stop working completely. What I have tried: Shutting off the PC and restart it Switch Bluetooth switch on and off Try resetting my bluetooth headphones and DS4 controller and try reconnecting Troubleshooting via Windows 10 Troubleshooting tool Update Drvier automatically Update Drvier manually by going to ASUS support website Deinstall/reinstall drivers Device Manager settings: Do not allow to shut off Completely drain power (shutting the PC off and plugg it out wait for a minute then power back on) Here are some pictures to clarify: Pictures Links to solutions I have followed: Linus-Tech-Tips-Forum ASUS-Forum (and all the links listed in the forum posts to other posts) Other parts: (if needed) CPU: i5 7600K GPU: GTX 1070 8gb RAM: Corsair LPX 2x8gb 3200Mhz PSU: Corsair SFX 600W SSD: Samsung 960 EVO NVME M.2 (256gb) Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i Miscellaneaous: Bluetooth adapter shows up three times in Device Manager (see pictures). Twice in Network Adapter and once in Bluetooth. Is this normal?
  2. E-Fail is a vulnerability found by German security scientists and may concern a lot of people that use encrypted e-mail services. The EFF has released its knowledge around E-Fail, how to react and how the security flaw works. Nice read in my opinion: https://www.eff.org/my/deeplinks/2018/05/not-so-pretty-what-you-need-know-about-e-fail-and-pgp-flaw-0 For thise who don't like long articles: Be safe and know your encryption!
  3. Hey guys and gals, I just recently backed the DAN case v2 on Kickfarter (don't usually do that but seemed reasonable for that product). So I'm gonna brace myself for winter and my case coming in early 2018. Until then I thought I would look out for some parts to put in there. The most difficult part for me was finding the motherboard that suits my needs. I have a dock for my Macbook for the "on-the-go-come-home-plugin" stuff which features thunderbolt 2. Since I dislike even more cables in my room I was planning to have thunderbolt 2 or thunderbolt 3 (with a dongle to thunderbolt 2) adapter. So naturally I would love to have thunderbolt 2 or 3 support. The only problem I have I can't find any motherboard that features that plus suits my other needs. My wishlist for the perfect mini ITX motherboard: -Thunderbolt 2/3 -Z170/Z270 chipset -2x M.2 slot -Bluetooth -USB 3.0 -Support for min. 16GB of DDR4 RAM Even more perfect, but absolutely irrelevant here: -preferably from Gigabyte, Asus, Asrock (for hackintoshability reasons -RGB, for the giggles -Wifi -black and white color scheme I know, I know big list of whishes here, which probably are not fullfillable. But my hopes are grand. And my eyes gaze into the future for some new tech that isn't for the ludacris chip pricings of the new intel lineup (if you are wondering about why I wouldn't like to give Ryzen a shot. I would! But the problem lies in the thunderbolt I guess plus hackintoshes are not yet very easy to do so on those chips since Apple doesn't use any AMD chips atm.) So any suggestions on my futher doing? Or suggestions of other nature? Thanks in advance! TL;DR: I need a mobo with a plethora of features. Are there any Z170 or Z270 mobos to come? Btw: If this doesn't belong here feel free to change the location of this post mods
