  1. ye... seems good idea anyway probably gonna do that as soon as i fix bios issue with my mobo...
  2. that i am aware, but if bios was tweaked for mining, clock speed was sure to be changed. so, it being set as default means, at least I think, that bios was never touched or it has been restored
  3. I think bios is whether untouched or restored. as the clock speed was set to the default clock speed (that is, the msi's default)
  4. most likely. tbh, i think its third hand product Miner -> Regular gamer activating death switch -> Me, somehow resurrecting it for a short time period
  5. I think zalman 600 tx, as it is the main psu that is connected to the rig with 280x it (PSU) has worked fine in other system, and working fine now so I don't think it was psu problem
  6. Used various of PSU with it. FSP 600w & FSP modular 600w PSU Seasonic 750w gold Zalman 600w tx and bunch of others
  7. It definitely seemed dying, but now it works flawlessly. At least for the time being...
  8. I own MSI r9 280x that was crashing whenever gaming or under heavy gpu load. I tried lots of things with it, but nothing fixed the problem. As a last resort, I decided to use the card with constant underclock. hoping to use it as a secondary card. After the underclocking, my 280x stopped crashing, but started to show buggy screens with dots ( screen like ... http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=113051&d=1342888573 - I do not own the picture, just got it from google) So I underclocked GPU even further, Still showed the buggy screen on 3dmark firestrike. However, in the middle of the firestrkie run my screen started to blink few times, and then 280x started to work properly Up until this point I was not that impressed, since card was only working properly under the heavy underclock. After that, I decided to restore some clock speed so I could utilize the card as much as I can. Now the result is intriguing. I could not only restore the full clock speed of my 280x, (MSI R9 280x twin frozr so IT IS FACTORY OC'd 280x) But even accomplished to further OC the card with MSI Afterburner, and passed Firestrike and 30 minute of furmark Death Donut test without any problem. Has anyone experienced similar thing?
  9. CPU A - E5 - 1650 v0 MOBO A - x79 (OEM brand) PSU A - Zalman 600w-rs (600w) Ram A - Just know it works... (ECC REG from Samsung maybe?) CPU B - I5 - 3470 MOBO B - Microstar MOBO (don't know specific board model) PSU B - random PSU from random company (300w model) Ram B - Just know it works (Seriously no idea)
  10. I am facing first ever problem in my life. PSU & MOBO compatibility Issue. So, when I connected PSU A with MOBO A, It turned on then turned off within .5 sec I decided to figure out which parts is malfunctioning, and tried connecting these parts with different PSU and MOBO (PSU B and MOBO B which worked fine with each other) when I connected PSU B with MOBO A, It worked fine; so I suspected, of course, that PSU A is broken. Still, I tried connecting PSU A with MOBO B, and, surprisingly, it worked fine. Why would PSU A work with all other MOBO (it was tested with other MOBOs I heard), but not on my MOBO A. Why would MOBO A work with all other PSU but not with MY PSU A? I'm baffled right now.. and seems can't figure out what really is the problem. anyone experienced similar situation?
