  1. Well at this point I'm really hoping by some miracle it is because I just ordered a new mobo lol. It has a bios speaker output but I don't have a bios speaker because like it's unfortunately not really a thing in 2019 lol.
  2. Yeah very good point. I was just "panicking" and plugging everything everywhere lol. Tried HDMI, Display port and dvi. Literally every video output I have.
  3. Of course! All lights come on, keyboard and mouse but no input is being accepted. As I said no post screen or anything just darkness. Monitor gets signal though but it's just a black screen.
  4. Weird thing is, there seems to be some sort of signal going to my display. It's just literally nothing? As in just a black screen. No sound, doesn't accept any keyboard input, nothing. I've ordered a new motherboard should be here tomorrow. (Asus rog strixx b450-f) I'm keeping the thread open because I'd like to try fix the mobo and not have an Asus paperweight on my hands. If I can't I'll just frame it and put it on my wall lol
  5. Unfortunately it's not gpu related. I've reseated it already. The system doesn't boot, it just seems to supply power to everything. No post screen for the board or anything just blackness. I've even tried the onboard output with no luck.
  6. I did all what you described as it's not my first time re-setting cmos. Thanks for input though!
  7. Thanks for the input! I should have mentioned that I already tried that about 6 times with no luck. pretty sure I halfed the del switch lifetime lol. Same thing just black screen. No bios or anything.
  8. Okay so, I installed Ryzen master. Decided to get rid of my overclock and just reset everything back to default, Clicked the "reset" button and a warning came up saying my computer will restart you know just usual stuff. Clicked "OK" System shuts down then restarted, fans spin up lights come on I can hear my hard drives spin up etc. But black screen. So I waited about 5 minutes considering I reset all settings and Nothing. I'm like okay no panic, first I pressed the reset button but same thing, then unplugged everything opened the case up took cmos battery out shorted the batter contacts. Plugged everything back... Same thing, black screen no post everything lights up fans spin. Went grabbed a jumper popped it on the "CLRRTC" pins as described by the motherboard manual. Same thing. At this point I'm out of ideas. I'm an hour into trying everything I could find on forums etc. I also had a very safe 3.8ghz overclock at 1.28v Never had an issue before There is also plenty airflow over the vrm heatsinks, I have a 140mm fan right above them in the case for exhaust. But obviously at such a moderate overclock on a 4 core CPU vrms really shouldn't be an issue System: Ryzen 5 1500x Asus prime b350 plus Be quiet! Dark rock 3 16GB Corsair lpx ddr4 2400mhz AMD rx480 asus strixx Samsung 860 Evo 500gb boot drive 2x WD black 1tb storage drives Corsair cx500 System was built about 2 years ago and hasn't had any problems At this point I'm looking at ordering a new motherboard and sending the current one back to Asus under warranty. You guys have any tips? Would love to hear anything! Edit: no bios when mashing del.
  9. Definitely, i mean Doom blew my mind coming from the Xbox One. All that FPS and detail!
  10. Far from bad its really decent, AMD did a good job with ryzen. now you're just bragging im way behind on the monitor front, im using my 32 inch samsung 1920x1080 LED TV as a monitor while i gather funds for something decent! The RX580 should do a very good job for you too, the only reason i went with the RX480 is because that strix cooler is so sexy... and i got it 50 GBP cheaper than the 580
  11. Very nice! im jealous as hell of that multi core score in CPU-Z though!
  12. It is quite surprising how good that stock AMD cooler turned out to be, fairly silent too. That must be a very good build you have with that 1600 too
  13. True that, 65w TDP... basically a mobile cpu its funny the Dark rock 3 is good for 190w TDP a bit overkill for the 1500X, the only reason i got it was because my local PC Shop had it for £40 which is awfully cheap for that cooler
  14. To be perfectly honest i was gettingg ready to type "Toasty" haha but please monitor some temps you dont wanna go too high imo. End of the day it depends on your comfort level as linus says haha
  15. I'll look into overclocking my ram, i like to do some research before doing anything. what temps are you getting with that cooler on 4ghz?
  16. the build is good but as MilfShake said, i would go with a better haigher wattage PSU. I would not go cheaper then corsair CX500. That psu does get some hate tho but for a budget build it really should hold up well
  17. Oh, i shall re-upload it! Its a good sturdy bracked but man it was a pain taking the backplate which the mobo came with it was held on with double sided tape kinda thing. Literal nightmare haha. Sadly Kyle was right, you can either have the cooler with the Be Quite! Logo upseide down or not upside down (i'd personally have it with the fan facing forward) However im getting 50 degrees-ish celsius under gaming load with the cooler sucking air basically off the backplate of my GPU. Also thanks for the tip i'll make sure not to go over 1.425v when overclocking
  18. the Thermal paste comes pre applied
  19. Excuse the Typo, i meant 1.3562
  20. Hi, Guys Im new to the forum but i have been watching Linus for years now and have just only recently gathered the funds to finally build a gaming PC. The build is: CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 1500x CPU Cooler: Be Quite Drak Rock 3 Ram: Corsair LPX 2133mhz Graphics Card: Amd RX 480 Asus Strix 08G MOBO: Asus Prime B350 Plus Case: Phanteks P400 Case fans: 2 Phanteks fans that came with the case and one old coolermaster fan i had laying around thats hooked up to the Graphics card. Power Supply: Corsair RM 650X Storage: Cheapo 120 Gb Kingstone SSD for boot drive, And WD black 1Tb for Additional storage I'm Just curious what overclocks you Ryzen 5 Guys Achieved? I personally Just got 3.9GHZ Stable at 1.3562v and 63 degrees celsius on the CPU Package. i'm not sure if i should go any further though, i mean this CPU is 3.6-3.7ghz turbo like im just a little scared to push it further haha. Anyways let me know what Overclocks you guys have managed With this CPU
