unless you plan on gaming at a high refresh rate, an i7 is unnecessary. An 8th gen i5 will not bottleneck modern games for a really long time and should preform better than a 7th gen i7 in multi threaded tasks should look at this:

Sorry late reply, but yea the idea behind it is that coffee filters are made out of dense fibres with small pores similar to a microfibre cloth.

If you don't have a microfiber cloth, coffee filters work well too

I went with the 6700K over 7700K because benchmarks were within the margin of error and if you add the discounted cost of a Z170 board over a Z270 you save a little over very similar performance. I was able to get 4.7GHz out of mine with thermal headroom left using an H60.
