  1. Im looking for a laptop for $500, and am looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXJV28P/ref=s9u_simh_gw_i1?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pd_rd_i=B01LXJV28P&pd_rd_r=Q8CXC042GZRDNHXCZP21&pd_rd_w=dSCQR&pd_rd_wg=Wv2bZ&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=7XRJ3T4X3BMDBT3DPWJS&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=781f4767-b4d4-466b-8c26-2639359664eb&pf_rd_i=desktop Only for Buisness, watching Youtube videos and listening to music. Will need a full-size keyboard. Would have loved to have an SSD, but doubt it will be able to fit in this budget. Is this a good laptop, and can anyone suggest any others that I should get?
  2. Hello, I'm on an extremely tight budget and was looking for decent 1440p monitors. Upgrading from a 20" 1050p monitor. Found this website called acer recertified that sells a good bit of them refurbished. The less I could pay the better. Any other suggestions more than welcome. Acer 25" 4ms IPS $178. http://acerrecertified.com/acer-25-widescreen-lcd-monitor-display-wqhd-2560-x-1440-4-ms-ips-scratch-and-dent/#product-warranty Looks like the same thing above not sure the difference? $205 http://acerrecertified.com/acer-lcd-widescreen-monitor-25-display-4ms-350-nit-60hz-ips-screen-black/ Acer 23.8" 1440p Ips brand new $200 https://www.amazon.com/Acer-G247HYU-smidp-23-8-inch-Monitor/dp/B01N1J0B3Q/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1495836841&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=23.8+1440p
  3. Looks great! Two questions, not too familiar about the ryzen lineup, but from the little that i heard, its targeted towards multi threaded users and content creators, will it be fine for me with pure gaming over the Intels i5/i7 ? Also the power supply, i know its a high quality but the wattage seemed a little low to normal high end builds, will i be safe for a years to come with it?
  4. Not to sure if you guys knew but there was a sale today on a GTX 1080 for $380, and i just missed out before it went out of stock in half hr, which had me feeling sour. Since then, I really had a desire to get a GTX 1080 in my $1350 build. My original plans was a $1070, which i could have comfortably gone with, and also looked good. Now, as im trying to compromise parts is this a doable build, or am i being too self indulgent and stick with the 1070? SSD/Windows/HDD not required. 1070 Build. I know to some the 1080 @ 1440p60 will be considered overkill. Also as for the 7700k with the b250, my original plans with the 1070 build was a moderate overclock to about 4.6ghz, but as i figured the newer 7770k came with a turbo boost of 4.5ghz, i could have saved some money on not getting a z270 board. Which build should i go with?
  5. Is this a good enough monitor? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1YU-00GN-00005
  6. Thanks for the fast replies! I think you guys has settled and eased my mind a bit to just go for the 1440p monitor.
  7. Thanks for the chart, ill definitely go with the C1.
  8. Hi Guys, Ill be in the US for a year, so i decided to build a new PC. As I want to carry it back home when i going back (on plane), i decided to go with a small build as i possibly can. Also, as prices back home are double++ what ill be paying for it here, im trying to stuff as much power into it as I possible, so ill be sacrificing looks of the build, so hopefully it will last me 10+ years lol. Im trying to keep it around $1200, but the max i can do it $1300. No SSD/HDD/Windows required. I play CPU heavy games and simulators. I also plan to do an overclock to around 4.5ghz This is what i have so far: PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/92cZd6 Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/92cZd6/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel - Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($305.06 @ Jet) CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-U9S 46.4 CFM CPU Cooler ($57.89 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: ASRock - Z270M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($118.49 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Team - Dark 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($111.88 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Mini Video Card ($329.99 @ Newegg) Case: Thermaltake - Core V1 Mini ITX Tower Case ($40.49 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($56.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case Fan: Noctua - NF-R8 redux-1800 PWM 31.4 CFM 80mm Fan ($9.90 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Noctua - NF-R8 redux-1800 PWM 31.4 CFM 80mm Fan ($9.90 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Acer - R240HY bidx 23.8" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor ($129.99 @ Amazon) Keyboard: Cooler Master - Lite L Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mouse ($52.99 @ Jet) Total: $1223.57 CPU: I Choose the 6700k over the 7700k, because it was essentially the same, but cheaper, and a little overclock should bring it to par. I even saw one on ebay for $280 which ill look into. Monitor: This is the part that im definitely going to do last as im stumped. I have in mind 3 different monitors, this one, and two other 1440p monitors for $220. The 1440p monitors (25" and 27") will make me cross over the $1300 so im contemplating it still. One the other hand ill be happy with this Accer 1080p, as im currently using a crappy monitor that even isn't 1080p, smaller than this one and paired with the 1070 will blow games out of the water. Any changes/advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!
