  1. My old My Passport is showing this but the new version that I just bought today is saying Unavailable in Manufacturer and Model Number. Is this fake or not? There is also no Logo just the ordinary drive logo.
  2. Team Elite GX2 512GB Sata III and Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB
  3. I'm planning to add another 512GB SSD for my laptop. I can add either 1 M.2 SSD or 1 2.5" Sata SSD. I already know that M.2 SSD's are faster and I don't really need a very fast storage and they are a little bit more expensive compared to 2.5" too so I wouldn't mind getting a 2.5" SSD. My question now is do they both eat the same amount of current? I heard that Sata SSD's consume less power than HDD's, what about M.2 NVME? Does getting a M.2 NVME SSD mean my Laptop battery life would be better compared to a Sata SSD or will it be the same?
  4. Is the block vents the only reason of the heating problems? What about the thermal paste? I heard that the M15 has liquid metal while the G15 has normal thermal paste.
  5. 144hz only has 62% sRGB, need 100% for photo editing. Was already gonna settle for the Lenovo 5 since 4800H for $1000 only except dumbass Lenovo Representatives in my country decided to only have the 120hz 250nits 42% NTC display available.
  6. Hello I'm planning on getting the Asus Zephyrus G15 which has a 240hz refresh rate display. I don't know much about laptops since I'm mainly a desktop guy but does the laptop display work the same as a desktop monitor? Can I lower the 240hz laptop refresh rate to 60hz? Like for example While gaming I will let it stay at 240hz and if I'm just gonna browse the internet I will lower it down to 60hz in order to save battery. Can I do that?
  7. I've seen the Ryzen 7 4800H destroy Intel in Benchmarks such as Cinebench but what about other things? just how much % faster is the Ryzen 7 4800H compared to the i7 10750H? Reason Why I want AMD : Faster CPU Power Reason I want Intel: Better Display, Bigger battery, partially made out of aluminum and the cliche RGB lighting. If I choose the Intel am I getting ripped off like it's not worth the money/overpriced or just "the CPU is not as fast" as the AMD variant.
  8. Hello guys, I'm planning on getting a laptop soon and I was already set on getting a Ryzen laptop since Intel is currently shit compared to Ryzen but there's a problem. In my place, for some dumb reason the laptop I was gonna get which is a Lenovo Legion 5 only has 1 display option and it's a FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare, 250 nits, 120Hz, 45% CG. I was planning on getting IPS, anti-glare, 300 nits, 144Hz, 5ms response time, 100% sRGB since I do some content creation like video and photo editing so pretty much I need a color accurate display. The Intel variant also only has 250 nits, 120Hz, 45% CG so I had to look for something else. Then I found that the store also has the Legion 5Pi but has no AMD variant and only intel. The difference between the 2 laptops would be that the Legion 5 ($1280) is Ryzen 7 4800H, full plastic, 60Whr battery, White LED keyboard and the 250nits 120hz 45% CG display . While the Legion 5Pi ($1440) is i7 10750H, top panel is not plastic, 80Whr battery, RGB keyboard and 300nits 144hz 100% sRGB. Which do you guys think I should get? P.S I only play like 2-3 games so 1650 is enough for me.
  9. It's only my OS that is in the SSD nothing else. The temps are also at 40-45 at idle/browsing web. Is that normal?
  10. So I bought a 256GB ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO on January because it's apparently a good quality SSD and now it's April the health of my SSD went down to 96%. It pretty much goes down 1% each month. Is this normal for M.2 SSDs? My previous 2.5" SSDs were 2 years old and did not go down below 98% health.

    Corsair HS70

Anyone knows how to disassemble the Corsair HS70? because mine is color white and it is turning yellowish I want to disassemble it to repaint it.
  12. my speakers and headset connects via the Bluetooth only my keyboard doesn't
  13. So before I was using my Anne Pro 2 via bluetooth in my PC using a Bluetooth adapter but then my Adapter broke so I switched to my Mobo bluetooth(Asus B450 ITX) and it also worked but after 2 weeks my PC won't detect my Anne Pro anymore? My Phone can detect it and connect to it but it doesn't work with my PC anymore. Anyone knows how to fix this?
  14. ATM it's not making any noise but it once made the noise when I turned the PSU on and the PC was still off so I'm pretty sure it's probably not fan related because I didn't press the button thing which allows my PSU fans to always spin and iirc it was already making that noise(my PSU fans are always spinning now since I want the PSU to be cooled at all times). I'm not sure about high loads since I'm mostly in low loads(browsing the web and downloading movies) but yeah for now as far as I know It is Coil Whine and it is only making noise and not damaging other components, nothing more and nothing less. I probably wont RMA it.
  15. just to be sure. In the video I sent does it sound like coil whine?
  16. Aaaaand its gone again. Note: All I do is browse the net and nothing heavy like editing or playing games. In case someone will talk about power consumption.
  17. And its back. This is what it sounds like. VID_20200121_202332.mp4
  18. Reading all of the replies I understood 2 opposite things. Coil whine happens in all of devices and is just noisy and nothing else, it does not harm other components and it doesn't mean the power supply is failing/bad. or It is a sign that the power supply is bad and failing potentially damaging other components. I just found out that my old Seasonic S12ii 520W also has coil whine and it served me for almost 3 years(It still works now and is in my old PC) so I'm leaning towards that Coil whine is just there and does no harm except for being annoying. It does somehow concern me that the 650PX that I bought has coil whine even though since it is new and the noise(again it's not loud but quiet either. in the morning I can barely hear it but at night I can clearly hear it) sometimes appears and just disappears randomly. But again if it is actually normal and does not harm other components and it's not a sign that my PSU is bad/failing I'll be keeping my unit.
  19. Because I just bought a Seasonic 650PX online and it has coil whine that sometimes disappears and comes back the next day and disappears again. I had this PSU for almost a month now I can RMA it but It will literally take a month. I do have a spare Seasonic S12ii 520W to use but if coil whine does not harm components then I probably wont RMA it.
  20. I have a Seasonic 650PX and apparently it has coil whine its not loud but its not quiet either. Can a PSU with coil whine damage PC components?
  21. Asus B450-I I manually changed the Ram speed and DRAM Voltage. Do I still need to enable XMP?
  22. About the XMP thing, is that automatically enabled? Where can I find it?
  23. And btw does Ram Speed really work like that? It crashes the PC if it doesn't get enough voltage? (I am assuming this since Before I set it to 3200mhz which is it's normal speed and the Voltage was set on auto but it seems to be always at 1.20V) I've never heard about a problem like this before.
  24. I've been using my PC now for 4 hours and no problems so far. I'm worried about SOC voltage now though since I changed the DRAM voltage.
  25. So apparently the reason why I was getting different random blue screen and my games crashing 3-5mins into the game is because my RAM is set to 3200mhz? I switched to my old DDR4 2400mhz RAM and the problems disappeared. I lowered my 3200mhz RAM and it worked too. And I also found out that apparently changing the DRAM Voltage fixed the problem?(for now at least) I set it back to 3200mhz at 1.350V (When it was in auto its stuck at 1.20V so I increased it) is that voltage okay? Should I lower it? Are there any other settings I should change? What about the SOC Voltage?
