  1. Should I buy the A400 SSD from Kingston? 120 GB version. For a new computer with the 1600 and RX 580, it's pretty cheap and looks kinda good...would it be really better than an HDD? Thanks
  2. What? No. ReLive is better than ShadowPlay in almost everything if not everything...from where did you get that? Did you even use ReLive that you say that? All of the tech reviewers said that ReLive is better and I think that TPU also have a page about that and you can see there that ReLive hits less performance than ShadowPlay. Also, it really depends on what you do...the reference isn't that loud, only if you try to squeeze everything from it with like maximum Voltage, but of you UnderVolt it (which is the best thing to do for Vega) it will heat even less and will be even more quite than before... https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/Radeon_RX_Vega_64/30.html On PwrSaver mode RX Vega 64 is about 93-110% of the 1080's performance (depends on the game) while doing 40 dBA and 75C. And with a good custom profile with a good Voltage and clocks you can achieve PwrSaver Temps and noise with normal clocks that will put it easily against the 1080...
  3. It depends. Do power consumption really bothers you? If not than I think that you should go with the RX Vega 64...since it's already at the 1080's level on DX11, and at Vulkan and DX12 it surpasses it, without even mentioning AMD FineWine... You can also always UnderVolt the card... Also from what I know both Vega cards has Dual bios, so you can flash the V64 BIOS onto the V56 card and if somehow something will go wrong - you can always go to the regular bios.
  4. you'll just won't use the discounts.... but you'll still get the games though I cant find the packs so... also, Vega 11 should arrive in the near months....I think that you should get that since you have a 1080p monitor I personally think that they'll rock...
  5. ah ok, thx. so they cant really fix it with Vega, but they can with Navi even though Navi will probably be also GCN based? or they cant because it is based on GCN?
  6. and is it hardware or software? is it like a component of the GPU or a specific part of the drivers? and it is a design for what?
  7. no. The packs give you up to 4 different things: always: 2 Bethesda games (Although Wolfenstein isn't available in all of the countries, and there they have will get a different game, but it's a 120$ worth games) for free. some countries will get: 100$ less on a Ryzen 7 + X370 mobo bundle, 100$ (I think) less on a specific Samsung screen: 100 Hz, 3440X1440 (which according to AMD - its the best "screen settings" for Vega) and free sync.... so if you wanna buy a completely new rig - its really good....200$ less on your computer + 2 games to begin with...but to someone that only wanna buy a new GPU - its Meh, and for a miner - its a shitty deal (which is the purpose).
  8. SIDM? VLIW5? sorry I didn't understand you
  9. here's a better deal: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137228&cm_re=vega'-_-14-137-228-_-Product but yeah...it seems like its without the pack
  10. nope, its it MSRP, AMD said that themselves...its the Radeon Pack, not the card itself. The Radeon Pack that consists the V56 costs 500$, and V56 alone will really come out only after the mining craze...
  11. yeah, the V56 seems like a king sometimes, some places actually sell it for 500$ (it's Radeon pack...and 500$ is its MSRP so its great), though I really hope that AMD will soon release the Vega cards without the packs and let the custom cards come out
  12. it already began and the estimations are that at the end of this year, the craze will be gone hopefully...
  13. they can of course....the Core isn't that expensive to make....Memory is the pricy part here and it will get down of course...so you'll see in the near months Vega's with the MSRP probably. Also, not all of the gaming features are working on Vega...there are some good features that are not working right now (like DSBR and more) and only with those features (and its not even FineWine) they should raise its performance by like 15% I think. I can be wrong, but that's what I saw and heard... IDK if they can really compete with the 1080 Ti, but I'm pretty sure that V64 will be in the near months between the 1080 and the 1080 Ti...or at least, eventually he'll be there.
  14. so I've seen this video: and I thought, that maybe the drivers aren't utilizing the whole cores? Like games today utilize up to 4 cores thus the difference between the 1600X and the 1800X in gaming is minor to not exist... Because if it's correct, than It would explain a lot.... for instance, why Vega which according to AMD has better IPC than before (if not from Polaris than at least better than Fiji and Hawaii), than that's why clock to clock the Fury X wins - it has more cores that are 100% utilized...I think. maybe it uses only up to 56 (or less) CUs thus there is no actual difference at gaming between Vega 56 and Vega 64... if it's right, than when AMD will fix it through the drivers - Vega 64 will compete with the 1080 Ti which is good news for everyone... What do you think?
