    All of the iphone 8's "NEW" features are on the Galaxy S6 and older.
    Not to mention that an android phone isn't monopolized by a company that tries to find new ways to milk their customers with every iteration of their phone.
    Example: removing the headphone jack to force people to buy/use an adapter.

    It's apples and oranges. Its all about your experience, features are pretty irrelevant. It's relevant to each individual.

    I'll use whichever device gives me the best featureset for me personally regardless of who manufactures it.

  2. If you're invested in apple's ecosystem i.e paid apps,services, or even any other hardware like Macbooks etc, I'd swing towards the iPhone for convenience.

    I prefer IOS personally and I've opted for the iPhone 8+ this year as an upgrade from my 6S.

    Flip a coin, if you're disappointed by the outcome you know which you really wanted.

  3. I currently have the H100i V2 installed on my i7 6700K, the stock fans included are high static pressure fans which are great for the dense fins however not so good for noise levels... even at 750-800RPM its very audible.

    I was wondering if anyone could recommend good replacement fans. From what I can gather, there aren't many static pressure fans rated to the same level as the corsair stocks so anything with proven cooling ability but fairly silent would be great.

  4. In these tests the Galaxy S7 doubled the battery life of the iPhone 7 for talk time.

    The iPhone 7 lasted 10 hours with surfing use and nearly 12 hours on a single charge during ongoing call time.

    As an iPhone user I can only speak for the model I have which is a 6S currently, the battery life is awful IMO and the 7's battery is rated at an additional 2 hours to that.

    Hoping to see improved battery life in the next model otherwise I might make the switch to another handset.

    if I do that the CPU will still be able to downclock when doing nothig?

    Once you've changed it to adaptive with the offset at the correct voltage yeah it will still downlock etc due to C state.

    Ok I did:

    - Reset

    - AiOverclock Tuner -> XMP (for my RAM)

    - CPU Core/Cache Voltage -> Adaptive mode

    - Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core Voltage -> Manual

    - OffsetVoltage -> Manual

    Now the Voltage doesn't go over 1.2V and stays at 4GHz or lower

    I'm assuming you want it to turbo to 4.2? I think for this you need to keep the vcore voltage set to auto for it to work.

    If that's not an option due to the temps and over voltage then you can also adjust the frequency manually to 4.2 by applying a 42 multiplier across all cores and retain your vcore at 1.2v

    what is the difference?

    and if in adaptive mode still 1.25V?

    Could be that there was an additional setting, restoring to defaults gives us a clean slate.

    Set adaptive mode with 1.25 yes.

    Make sure turbo feature is also set to on.

    AIDA64 is just a more realistic stress test and usually temperatures are much more favourable.

  8. Could be that it requires more voltage.

    Maybe go in and restore to default but only change the voltage to 1.25 and see if turbo works.

    If that doesn't work, perhaps change it to adaptive this time.

    Also, if you can use AIDA64 vs Prime95.

    isn't there an auto mode which just doesn't overclock or do i have to set a manual voltage?

    Typically leaving it on automode leads to overvoltage so setting a manual voltage first, checking stability and then selecting adaptive mode will serve you well.

    If you don't wish to overclock leave frequency on auto.
