  1. Hello, I have recently found a pair of ATH-M50s on r/hardwareswap for 60 USD. This is roughly 90 less than a pair of M50xs on Amazon. I was wondering if anyone here has used both and can offer some information about the differences between them. Thank you in advance for anyone who contributes.
  2. Going back to school, I don't want to deal with making two or three stops to a locker every day. It should have a nice open space for at least five 2.5 inch binders, and good separate spaces for a laptop and various books. I would like to keep the price under 70 USD.
  3. no offense, but I was looking for something new.
  4. Title says most of it, looking at the ie80s from Sennheiser, but its always good to get a few other opinions. Looking for solid bass without compromising on the mids.
  5. This is either bait or living proof that Linus was right about X299, and I', thinking its the latter...
  6. I love the concept of a thin, sleek, 1080p gaming laptop that doesn't look to 'gamery'. The only problem is the Razer Blade is 2000 USD. Are there any good cheaper laptops that still do well in games but are easily portable and look good?
  7. Of course they are. What I'm saying is that the actual 3d model, say, a rock for instance, was only designed with so many pixels on it when the game was created. Even if I set the resolution higher, it would not increase the graphical detail of the rock. For instance, playing Morrowind in 4k would look almost the same as it would in 1080p. Does this clear my meaning up?
  8. I recently got an AOC 2577PWQ 1440p monitor, a great product for sure, but it seems to me that some games fail to look significantly better in 1440p vs 1080p. I assume this has much to do with the actual textures used by the game. That being said, does anyone have any suggestions for games that look legitimately beautiful in higher resolutions? P.S. Please omit Witcher 3 and Subnautica from this list, as I have already tried them at 1440p.
  9. That's what I thought to do. It held up to a 15 min. Aida test so I guess it's fine.
  10. Hello, I am looking for a 3.7ghz OC on my r5 1600. What would you recommend I use for voltage on this frequency?
  11. I would agree with this: however, my friend is dead set on 4k for some reason. I've tried to steer him away but after a while I just resigned.
  12. Besides, it doesn't have a 4k screen. I don't personally value this that much but my friend insisted on it.
  13. I dunno, the Aorus is actually more money on Newegg, Not sure if this is just an outlying case though.
  14. I know that laptops are a lot more expensive Tom. Unfortunately this friend of mine is shipping off to college soon and needs something portable that he can also take notes and work in class with, but he also wanted high class gaming. Thank you for the concern though.
  15. OK, so my friend is wanting to buy a gaming laptop with a 4k display and we are looking at the SC17 by evga. Does anyone have experience with this product or similar ones by evga? Any advice would help! Thank you in advance to anyone who has something to say.
  16. Thank you everyone for helping to get these for me! I'm sorry for the late reply, didn't have a chance to check until now. That really is a beautiful case. And a great build to go with it Thank you very much! What a beautiful build you have, by the way. I was a little worried how the cable management would look with the openings provided but that is pretty sleek. Have a nice day!
  17. Hello, I have been looking at the InWin 303 white for my next build, but I'm not sure how it will look with a full setup inside. If anyone could post pics of their build in an InWin 303, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help!
  18. A little too expensive though. 140 USD at the least.
  19. Right now I have a g403 wireless and I like it, but I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to peripherals, and was wondering if there are any mice out there better than the g403 for less than 100 USD. I'm not looking for an entire keyboard on the side of my mouse either, 2 or 3 extra buttons on it maximum.
  20. I've been noticing more and more that hiss in the very faintest part of the music. More than I used to. Its gotten to the point where I can no longer just try and ignore the electrical resistance in my sound, and I am currently looking to go with an external solution to fix this problem, such as an amp or DAC. I have heard of Schiit before, and I know they make quality products, but are there any products out there that would perform the same function at a more affordable price? To be clear, I'm mostly looking for a DAC or amp to improve sound clarity in music, not some professional grade gear, but enough to make that annoying hiss dissipate.
  21. Hello, recently the right speaker in my H840s started going, most of the volume is gone, and I can no longer hear the keyboard solo in Roundabout. As you can tell this is a serious problem, as I loved my H840s while I had them, and want to keep the well balanced sound and solid design. Can anyone recommend similar sounding over ear headphones below 70 USD?
  22. Now that Ryzen has introduced consumer grade 6 and 8 core processors, it may be time to start looking at how this can benefit gaming. Right now 4 cores are really all that is used when gaming, leaving a large part of our systems unused and vacant. I am not an expert at programming, so I was looking to hear some feedback on how developers could begin to implement these additional cores during gaming use. Is it possible that AMD Ryzen processors will overtake their current 4 core counterparts at Intel?
  23. I looked, but all it said was something about "ambient LED" that allows programming pulse, fade, and other effects. Nothing about RGB, but if they aren't mentioning it there, I doubt it has any. Oh well, I guess I'll cough up the extra dough.
  24. Hello! I have been looking at this particular mobo for some time, I like its looks and the product seems well built, but I want to go for a blue/green theme for my PC. I know for a fact that the slightly more expensive k5 model comes with rgb lighting accents, but I can't see anywhere whether the k3 offers the same rgb fusion technology from Gigabyte. Not even the product page on gigabyte's own website can offer me an answer, so I was hoping you guys could. Thank you for your time.
