  1. Is it cheaper to upgrade by myself immediately after I buy the 8GB model?
  2. I need Windows 10 Pro unfortunately, and 8GB RAM usually does not cut it with my use case. However, I do see the point in going with 256GB and FHD. The price difference is quite significant too. 600$ Delta. Hmm....... Thank you. It seems I need to give this some thought.
  3. It seems like I would have to give up Windows Hello, the faster network card, and the Quick Charge, but I could go with the i9 CPU option and get .......... Nevermind, https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-8950HK-vs-Intel-Core-i7-8850H/m486215vsm485626 has it only 3% faster in real world tests. I think I will stick with the Thinkpad in this case. It seems only 150$ more expensive anyway. The laptop is going to be near a power outlet all the time, so I don't really mind the lower battery life.
  4. Hey, I am looking into buying this. Want to take advantage of this sale. I need to know if this is a good choice in terms of post-sales support, repairs, etc and the build quality of Thinkpads itself. I am also looking into getting the premium support option for 1 year and accidental damage protection for 1 year as well. I don't play many games. Only Overwatch. I am only looking into this laptop because I hate waiting for stuff and like things to be immediate (Windows Hello, CPU, 16GB ram, Intel 9560 802.11AC vPro (2 x 2) & Bluetooth 5.0, etc). I have attached a screen snip of the configuration. Let me know your thoughts on my choice. Yours faithfully, Alexei Drekker. PS:
  5. Well, it seems there was already another person who posted this on the forum. Silly me.
  6. So, a YouTube channel calls out Linus for his video on Red Cameras. They also question Linus's integrity in a subtle snide remark. The whole thing seems engineered to exploit LMG's popularity. Let me know your thoughts. Link below:-
  7. All the sensitive components are already screwed in and calibrated or are not user serviceable. Most people building their own PCs only mix and match stuff. Like lego blocks or puzzle pieces, albeit with slightly more complicated compatibility criteria. A gun, on the other hand, has all these precision components that need to be calibrated to that degree so that it does not lose accuracy or explode in your face. I am not a gunsmith, so I can't speak too much about it.
