Hello. I am working on finding parts for a new build and I've chosen dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti GPUs (SLI) as well as a Pci-e based capture card. I need a processor with enough Pci-e lanes to power that. It would be used for gaming, video encoding, and Ue4 (rendering, etc).
A usb-based capture card would also be acceptable if anyone has any suggestions
I looked at the i-7 7700k and it only had 20 pci-e lanes. Intel's website split it up into 1x16, 2x8, and 1x8 + 2x4. This would be ok if I did a usb-based capture card but would prefer pci-e
I would prefer an Intel solution but will go for AMD if required. I don't have a budget for this, but would like to avoid spending $1000 on a processor.
