I have an Asus Crosshair VI. I love the motherboard except for one crucial aspect: It has no PS/2 port on it. To make matters worse, there doesn't seem to exist a PCIE add-in card that gives me one. From the extensive research I've done it seems the only option for me to get a PS/2 port on my computer is to use a PCIE to PCI adapter, and then a PCI PS/2 card. See the attached image for what I'm referring to.
I know PCIE to PCI has their own compatability issues so it's obvious why I consider this to be a far-from-perfect solution.
If at all possible I would like to avoid using active PS/2 to USB converters because they introduce the problems all USB keyboards have (ie, the 6-key rollover limit)
Got any other ideas or suggestions?
