  1. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2359085/cpu-performance-athlon-860k-a10-7850k.html If im upgrading the cpu I want to make sure it will last as I was already aware that the FM2+ was outdated but had to have a CPU that would work. Thank you for the suggestion as it would mean I could just change the cpu alone.
  2. So would most say the CPU is bottlenecking this GPU? Only reason I bought the current cpu was to make up for the AMD Phenom II that was being used in an old HP
  3. I built my current gaming rig this month and am looking into upgrading the hardware. This started as a budget build ($500 USD) and have realized I want more as most do. I believe my cpu can handle a better graphics card (Looking at the RX 580 8gb- $250 USD) but would it be a better idea to upgrade to the Ryzen 5 1500x (Which would mean new Ram and a Motherboard -$400USD) Which is my better option for gaming strictly? Current Build: CPU; AMD Athlon X4 860K (4.5ghz at 1.425v) GPU: Gigabyte RX 460 (Stock Clocks) Ram: 2x4GB GSkill Ripjaws ddr3 1600mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H FM2+ PSU: Corsair VS500 (500w) Heatsink: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo (Of course I have a case, keyboard/mouse, Hard drive, disc drive but that has little to do with performance.)
