    A/V sync

The last few weeks, me and my dad have been trying to set up a second tv in our pool room and have the audio and video synced between the living room, outside, and the pool room. The outdoor speakers and video are already synced up with the living room, but the pool room is separate. This should just be an easy hdmi cable run, but my dad refuses to run cables, as our pool room has a peaked roof and nowhere to run the cables in the roof or walls. The two receivers that we have at our disposal are the ones listed in the tag (the x4000 is currently in the stereo closet and two of the 4310's speaker outputs don't work.)
  2. Anyone who has an asus prime x-370 pro, I'd like to know if there's a line in on the back, I want to have an echo dot running through my pc into my speakers.
  3. To address all your concerns, I added those speakers and headphones because I already have them. I wanna go water because of the better cooling (yes, know that after 30 minutes the difference isn't that big). I could probably survive with 16 gigs or ram, but with the rescue Frankenstein mac book I have, I easily fill my ram. Don't want another ssd, already got a ton of hdd storage, and the speed decrease doesn't bother me even a little. Last point I want to make, I HATE tempered glass. Now, on the cpu stuff and the monitor. Whats the difference on the die level between 1700, 1700x, and 1800x? and why is the h115i a bad deal? and last, just so you know, my old mobo supports sli
  4. BY THE WAY, I will rerunning Ubuntu as my main OS
  5. okay, ill buy it without, but in the future i wanna investigate that. In the past, I've found cooling improves with hdd fans
  6. seen it, does that apply to hard drives too?
  7. Quick Question, anyone know if the Lamptron FC9 Fan Controller can cut all power and let the fans fall to 0rpm
  8. i was more worried about the rest of the system. The hdd cage is right behind the 200 mil fan, and i just wanted to help it move some air through the drives. Will that matter?
  9. The 120's are gonna be hooked up to my 5.25" fan controller, along with the 140 sp fans. I can completely shut those off when it gets too loud, but the 120's are for my copious amount of hdd's, and the 140's are for a push-pull config on my radiator. Because the fan hub has manual control, i can adjust for heat and performance on my own
  10. do you have the drive your installing on set to master in the bios?
  11. the wifi is more of a temporary thing, my house old and isn't configured for wired internet, so i still need to run and terminate an Ethernet cable.
  12. maybe pcpartpickers tdp calculator is bad, but it says 500 at load ( and that doesn't include my drives, audio equipment, and usb stuff)
  13. yeah, im using Ethernet for pretty much everything. I want to refresh the air in my case as much as possible cause my desk doesn't have the greatest ventilation.
  14. ps, i fixed the ram https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zwMMd6
  15. I'm leaving a lot of head room for expansion cards (if i decide to get something like a thunderbolt or a sound card) and room for drives (i plan on just throwing all of my drives, which is 6)
