  1. The problem with having only one GPU and lowering my wattage is what If I do want to add another one down the road? Then I would have no choice but to upgrade my PSU, plus isnt SLI usually better than single GPU's? And youre right I do have no choice but to downgrade my case and mobo but its painful to do that haha Any solid cases you suggest?
  2. Yeah I live 20 minutes from one, and it went on sale early December and late December so hopefully it does. Which one would you prefer because I'm on windows 7 right now but I never experienced windows 8 so I couldnt tell you. And any other suggestions to lower the price?
  3. Just editing videos in Camtasia Studio or any other better program I can find, Photoshop for recreational use, and some Visual Studios for C++ work. Yes I would need a copy of windows, but I'm not sure which to go with, windows 7 or 8.1 because I heard 8.1 was horrible. I would like to get a new keyboard too, mechanical with cherry mx red or black switches. I am still waiting for the 4770k to go on sale for $250 because the 4670k is $199 and why not pay the extra $50 for a way better OC'er and overall CPU. I would also like some suggestions for a monitor (not included in the build because I already have one but for the near future) I narrowed my build down to $1150 and wanted to see what you guys think or any other suggestions: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2AZNX
  4. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/PanzerSwarm/saved/35mr How is this build? Is there any way someone can tweak it to make it atleast less than $1200? Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Is that a good enough cooler to do some moderate overclocking? Probably around 4.3-4.6ghz? Can someone suggest a cheaper but good ATX Motherboard that supports 2 way SLI? Also no one really answered my question if 16GB total on a 32GB board would be good enough for the future for video editing/some photoshop?
  5. Thanks for the feedback? But is there some real $1100 things I can use that you can suggest lol
  6. I have a $1100 budget for a gaming, video editing, and some photoshop, first of all, I would like to know which would be the best way to go for the money? Because I've done a decent amount of research and I found I would like to stick to the Intel i7-4770k because it seems like the best CPU for the money, I can get for $250 when it goes on sale and thats every couple weeks at MicroCenter, but any other suggestions would be great if there is another good processor that is great for the money. I honestly dont know what motherboard to pick, or what graphics card, I heard that the AMD cards were great for the price at the end of last year but they all sold out, now theyre crazy high in price, so I'm thinking of going with an Nvidia GPU, I'm going to start out with one GPU and upgrade to two when I get the money so I need a motherboard that supports 2-way SLI (or crossfire), I would like a 120GB SSD with a 1TB HDD at the best price, for RAM, I'm not sure if I should get 2-4GB or 2-8GB to start because thats one question I have is for future use will I ever need to upgrade to 32GB, or will 4-4GB be enough (total of 16GB, in a 32GB motherboard) Im pretty much set with the NZXT Switch 810 because its a solid case and I like it, I want a 650w or 750w PSU due to dual graphics cards but idk which to get first (starting out with single graphics card tho, $1100 is excluding the second graphics card) and I'm not sure what CPU cooler to get either. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. I like that but it is a little out of my price range, its around $2-300 more than I'm willing to spend, I did look at Intel before but they seem really expensive to me, I want the 4770k because it is a brand new chipset too. I just wish I had a little more money for it lol.
  8. Thanks for the input guys, @Kick My preference is the Full Tower case, I want plenty of room and I can use it to upgrade in the future. @Scia, @DigitalPunch I actually think the 280x is in my price range and it looks like a decent card, do you think that's a good one? I had another question if a water cooler vs a high-end air cooler is better for cheaper? I received a suggestion on another forum to use Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BL 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler instead of the H100i, due to less problems with a water cooler. I'm also kinda sketchy in putting water with electronics lol.
  9. Hello, I am thinking of building a $1100-1200 PC used mostly for gaming, video editing, and video recording. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2gJdb I needed help on the CPU cooler, I want to overclock the CPU the highest possible with the lowest temperature. I am thinking about the H100i right now but I was wondering if that is the best for overclocking, or if there is a better option. For the GPU, I'm leaning more towards Geforce due to its lower price with higher performance (correct me if I am wrong, I don't know much about Radeon) but please give me suggestions if there is a better Radeon card. Also, if I add another GPU in the future for SLI (or Crossfire) will 650w be enough for the power supply? I also need an OS, which I'm not sure if I should stick with Windows 7 or move to the (dreaded) 8.1 even though I heard it has better performance (correct me if I am wrong). I really need help on a mouse and keyboard, for the keyboard I would prefer a mechanical Cherry MX Red, but I have no idea for the mouse, and I appreciate some suggestions for both (highest quality, for the lowest price). I'm good with the monitor I have now, but I would still like some feedback for good higher inch monitors under $200. Also with fans, I'm not sure if the case fans are very good inside the Thermaltake case and the H100i has very loud fans too, so I would appreciate some fan suggestions too. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thank you for the help.
