  1. I got my replacement PSU from Corsair today, built in, let the gpu works and it happen again. The system crashed. I guess the issue is the GPU or should I send the entire system back?
  2. Ok it happen again, playing a game, after 5 days without this error. It was fast so I didnt see the really last error code but when I see that its in the boot loop I took a look and rebooted after Code AC, sometimes its later, sometimes earlier, its not always the same error code. Sometimes I saw the led debug code started with number 3 means something with the cpu. The first code was AC means ACPI. So something in this time, initializing ACPI and CPU it rebooted again. I dont thinking this information can help you detect the error, but maybe someone has an idea. I have no choice than buying a second component and replace it to test if its working.
  3. ok thanks I will do this! In the mean time, can I be sure that its not a software problem or driver problem?
  4. Yes I have a corsair HXI. Thats the point. Maybe I am just "underloaded"
  5. I have checked now and they dont spin! My system is running since a time. How to test a the psu. is there are any tool that can test the psu? Are you REALLY REALLY sure that the psu fans need to spin? If yes my fucking psu is the reason. Then I need to send the stuff back (remember is from corsair and even platinum and 1000W). one of the best available at the market currently.
  6. no thanks for all your responses. yes maybe, I tried to check it. I have unplugged everything, and when the system booted I tried to look under the case where the psu fan is. It has only spinned at the boot time for a short time. After a second it stopped. I know there is a method how to test psu: but I dont know if you get the same results if you boot your system normal. The videos tells that the fan should spin all the time but in my case it spinned only in the beginning of the system start. Is this the same? Normally I would think that its a feature of the psu to spin only if a certain work load exceed to make it calm, because with my 1000W platinum the psu should be really strong. To test the boot behavior I have booted the system several times. After canceling the test and booted again I have noticed that I got again the screen that my settings in the BIOS were reset. It means that the settings become reset if the system boot and shut down several times in a short time. It doesn't mean necessarily that the motherboard decovered bad settings and went back to the default. Something else happen also. After I have started my computer today, I opened youtube video and the screen became frozen. I could move nothing and it continued after a short time. I was thinking, wtf, how a strong system like mine can be frozen after opening a youtube video. This shows like something is wrong. Is it the GPU? I am a little bit desperate. Any ideas what I should do?
  7. Hi, I have bought a computer with that build: CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($328.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($119.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI - Z270 GAMING M7 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($209.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LED 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($254.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 1TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($479.99 @ B&H) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GAMING X 8G Video Card ($554.98 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT - Noctis 450 ATX Mid Tower Case ($109.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair - 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($184.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: Asus - ROG SWIFT PG348Q 34.0" 3440x1440 100Hz Monitor ($1199.90 @ Amazon) Keyboard: Kingston - HyperX Alloy FPS Wired Standard Keyboard ($96.43 @ NCIX US) Mouse: Razer - DeathAdder Chroma Wired Optical Mouse ($49.98 @ B&H) everything works fine, except one problem. Sometimes my computer crashes without clear reason. First my monitor loses signal, then my system shuts down. After the system is shut down, it boots again and after a half second it shuts down again. I must disconnect the electricity cable from the case to break out the loop of booting and shut downs. I am scared that my system can get damage because of an not working component. In most cases it happen when I play a game. I am not sure which component is defect. After I have unplugged the energy cable and plugin again, I start the system and get the message that my bios settings are reset. I have changed just two things. First my case contains a fan hub working as NWM. My motherboard doesnt recognize it to be PWM and expects its DC. DC means for my hub that the fans run 100% all the time. So I manually set to NWM. The other option I have changed is the boot mode. I had legacy+uefi and I changed to only uefi because I dont have need for legacy stuff and work only with uefi. I dont assume that these changes effects anything relating to my problem but I just tell you in the case. Can someone give me advice how to investigate that problem? Unfortunately I dont have any other component twice I could replace easy. In the past I have used laptops so I dont own computer components anymore. I need to know which component is defect so I can send it back and get a correct working back.
  8. My issues are serious and still no answer? nobody has knowledge to give some hints about my problems?
  9. Hi, I have the Asus Rog pg348q 34 Inch Monitor with a MSI 1080 GTX and MSI Gaming m7 Mobo. I want to ask is if it is normal that my monitor doesnt turn on when I boot my system and only after the booting start I turn the Monitor on. But if I turn my monitor on before I boot the display turns on. Also strange is: My GPU has two displayport entries. If I change the port during running system and plug my monitor into the other port, the display keep black. If I turn it back to the port the system was started with it turns on. Should it not turn on always? I also have the problem that my monitor turns black for unclear reason. The only solution is a complete system restart. Before two days even something more strange happen (this never happen before): I was playing a game and my monitor turns black again, I was thinking ok system reset, but not only this. My sound (I use the audio output from the monitor) turned off also and my system reset my itself and even reset the bios settings I have made (not much, just changed the cpu fan mode to nvm e.g. and booting from uefi only). Also my system case turned off and on again without that I have touched it. One sec on, one sec off and so an. I became scared and removed the electricity. Unpluged some usb cables and removed my external hard drive) and turned my system again. Since two days this didnt happen again. My problem is, I have built my computer and I dont know what could be the problem. I am linux user, I played the game with wine emulator and tought that it could be a wine problem (something with the driver) but researches told me that a software cant reset the system alone and also reset bios settings. There is another reason. I dont know which component could be the reason of this behaviour. I was thinking to replace the component but I need to be sure which component creates the problems, either its the monitor or the system. Because of the reset I expect more its the system, because I dont believe that the monitor can make a bios reset. Maybe its the GPU? I am not so much inside the hardware world. I need your help to find the bad component or in general the reason of that problems.
  10. Hi, I am wondering to use the define 6 that can contain 8 fans, even 3x1400mm that is unusual compared to other cases. You have 3x1400mm in the front and top, and 1x1400mm in the bottom and 1x1400mm behind. I have figured out that the motherboard I wanted to buy, the MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard has only 6 fan headers, means can only control 6 fans and not 8. I am wondering if there is a similar main board that can control 8 fans, because I guess I do not need more than 8 fans even in the future. If yes, I could buy a separate fan controler. Any recommendations?
  11. Can you give also some arguments why they should be better? I guess n450 is newer than h440, right? So if nxzt then the most recent is n450 I guess, I would chose. Phanteks is also not bad, it would be my second choices after corsair.
  12. Why are they large? 740 is for max atx. I have an atx mainboard. In the future maybe I add more 3.5 storages. But basically this its, what can you add more into a computer? In the past I have suffered with loud fans and bad cooling so that I want to eliminate this issue for long time. Also overcloacking can be a subject in the future. I would like to use a case with the best airflow possible. What I dont like in current cases in general are the driver bays. Nobody need them. They are legancy (at least for me). If you need data you can use a usb stick. You have already sticks with 16GB. Nobody need CD-Roms and all that stuff anymore. So if I do the effort to build a computer, why should I buy a case that waste important space with such things? Also it makes cooling more difficult, because it slow down the airflow. Why 740 in particular? I have seen reviews about a lot of cases, many of them are good, but most of them use driver bays, expect good marks like nxzt and phanteks do not. 740 looks the best because it provides more space for fans, that mean better cooling. These are the main reasons, no driver bays (special design for it) and more space for cooling, means more fans and less noises. SLI and second GPU I would never buy and use. I dont think its the money worth. Performance and Silence are for me the main issues. I would appriciate if you give me some advises if you have, also in the selection of my components. Its my first computer build from the ground up basically
  13. Thanks for your answers. I guess I was wrong. I dint really mean LED fans, I ment light at the fans (I guess they are just stripes). Its true, it makes a lot of more sense than really led fans. My example is https://pcpartpicker.com/b/CXHhP6 Instead him I do not want RGB lights, I want red light that vary in brightness. In addition to the provided fans (3 by corsair and 2 by the cooler), its true, it makes more sense to keep as much as possible and check if it makes really sense to replace them. I guess I would keep the rear fan. What I am thinking to replace are the fans for the front, because Corsair provides only 2x. I want to use the whole space so I am thinking to replace the 2x140mm by 3x120mm. Does it make sense? Also I have empty space for 2x140mm at the bottom. For that space I need additional fans for sure. Corsair doesnt provide anything for it. Can you recommend me something? To have a better overview: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2rGj4D/corsair-air-740-atx-full-tower-case-cc-9011096-ww is the case I want to buy and https://pcpartpicker.com/product/RH2rxr/corsair-cpu-cooler-cw9060027ww is the cooler that provides 2x fans by itself.
  14. Hey, I build a new computer and I guess I will go with the Corsair Air 740. The best airflow is important, because I want silence. The less the fans need to work, the more silent. I also want my case to be used as a light source, so that I would like to mod a little bit. It means I would like to add and replace existing fans with fans that provide red light. Could you recommend me the best and most silent fans (noctua)? with red light effects? (noctua doesnt provide I guess). Corsair Air 740 has already built in fans at the front (x2) 140mm and at the rear (x1) 140mm. I would like to replace them and add (x3) 120mm to the front, top: (x2) 140mm, bottom: (x2) 140mm and rear: (x1) 140mm. Because I use a radiator I would add the radiator to the top. To make no experimets I would use the provided fans from the radiator instead to replace them. I also want to use pull airflow for the top to minimize the dust in the radiator so that you would not see the fans anyway. So I need 3x 120mm fans and 2x 140mm fans Could someone recommend me the best performance (most silent) with red light effect? Tx.
  15. Good to know that its old. How to get the historical order of cases? At the original page its not possible to sort by creation date. I guess the most recent is the most best in general (because of continues improving). I have something in this direction: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($338.34 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($121.99 @ NCIX US) Motherboard: MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($133.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($259.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($246.98 @ NCIX US) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.25 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.25 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($399.99 @ Newegg) Case: Corsair Air 740 ATX Full Tower Case ($139.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($179.99 @ Newegg) Total: $1917.75 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-04-27 19:40 EDT-0400
