My friend got a MSI GL62QC it has a single channel SO-DIMM 8GB DDR4 2133mhz stick. I have an extra SO-DIMM 4GB DDR4 2400mhz stick just lying around collecting dust and i'm planning to give it to him. My question is, will it work? I know that my 4gb stick will run at 2133mhz because of the other ram, that's fine. But will it work? I mean will it be dual channel?

Good day! I'm planning to buy a ultrawide monitor to play Monster Hunter because it just recently been updated to support ultrawide resolution. I'm currently looking at this monitor but it says it only 2 HDMI 1.4 for IO. I watched Linus Media Group's video about HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and DVI and he said HDMI 1.4 does not support ultrawide, only HDMI 2.0. Should I buy this one instead? It has 1x HDMI 1.4 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 1x USB Type C but it's $70 more expensive PS: Sorry for the links. I live in Japan.

I just checked my SATA mode and it is in RAID mode. I check my bios and there is no way to change the SATA mode there.

Also, i went to my bios set up and can't see a way to change SATA mode from IDE to ACHI. Btw, how can I know if I'm already in ACHI mode?

Good day! I'm planning to upgrade my 4 year old Laptop's HDD to a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB. It will be my first time disassembling my laptop. Upon google-ing this is what I will be doing step by step. - Change the SATA type to AHCI - Reset the PC using Windows 10 Recovery - Clone the drive to the new SSD using Acronis True Image HD 2015 - Replace the HDD - Hope everything works. Do you have any suggestions or notice wrong with the procedure that I will be doing?
