  1. Its good specs but i would much rather a sleek design, production not gaming laptop
  2. As long as i can carry the thing, weight isn't a problem, and as long as sRGB is fairly high it should be decent as i do a little bit of graphic design but not to a professional level
  3. Long Story: I do a lot of after effects based work, actually 99% of what i do on a computer is in AE, my pc is slow and can't really run AE, meaning my workflow is heavily slowed down when doing anything intensive in the program. I'm still in college so I need to have two lives easily combined into a laptop. One being note taking, researching and writing essays, the other being heavy video editing or animation. My budget is anything equal to £1000 (Approx $1310) or lower, but for the right components i am willing to push a little bit higher than my budget. I don't want a bulky gaming laptop deal where the fat bastard barely fits in my bag, i would much rather a laptop with the sleek design of a Surface or XPS 15, without the price. I would also like it to have a dedicated GPU (literally just an MX150 and im happy) so that i can load up a few less intensive games. I have done some looking and so far the best option i have found is the Dell Inspiron 17" 2-in-1 7000 laptop but in Linus' video he said the CPU wasn't great, so any better suggestions and i am all ears, thank you in advance :) Short Story: Need Video Editing Laptop Must Have Dedicated GPU (MX150 is enough) Must be able to cope with fairly intense editing in after effects (Nothing more than amatuer level) Must have 12GB ram minimum Would much prefer SSD over HDD Budget of £1000 ($1310) or less, can go a little over Current best: Dell Inspiron 7000 7" 2-in-1 Needs to be sleek, non gaming laptop like design Battery isn't really a problem, college has chargers PS: I am aware this is a lot to ask, but this forum has done some miracles before for me, thanks for any suggestions in advance :)
  4. This is great but all of the ones posted so far are more expensive, this is not really what i want.
  5. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/knLYHh This is a build im saving for. It is generally just for gaming and light editing until i can get a laptop for editing. It's main priority is high fps and low temps at 1080p with possible mild overclocking later down the road (Hence the PSU). Please give me some advice or improvements on how i can cut down the price, thank you

    Cleaning

Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum, i couldn't see where else to put it. I need to clean my pc, the dust has raised my cpu temps by 40°c. I have never cleaned a pc with air dusters before so i am just following that old linus video "PC Dust Elimination - The Rugged, Manly Way" where he uses compressed air and a paintbrush, (i can't afford the electric vacuum.) Will these be good enough/safe to clean a pc with? http://amzn.eu/8jmxtSN If not, please advise me on what i should use, thank you.
  9. It is very easy to edit your preferences in any adobe product and allow for custom core usage, as long as overheating isn't a problem it usually works fine
  10. Do you know of any that are mildly cheaper with slower components?
  11. I need a laptop that is entirely designed for editing in programs such as After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere Pro. I'm not rich so i would prefer a laptop that is around £1000 ($1500) but i am willing to pay up to £1500 ($2000) if needed. The requirements are as follows: - Hardware - - 16 GB Ram Min (Ram Preview Times Suck) - Quad Core Cpu Min - Needs To - - Needs to be able to cope with 300 fps 1080p footage, possibly 1440p - Needs to be able to real time render 1080p60fps videos with a very good fps in premier. - It DOES NOT need to be good for gaming. If you need anymore information then feel free to ask, thank you in advance
  12. Ok sorry about the formatting I will look into it i am interested now
